Ping.
How many other infected and mildly symptomatic patients are wandering around infecting people?
If they walk where he walked they could catch it from his bodily fluids; sweat blood feces or vomit.
Fascinating video, but at least the crowd now seems to get isolation.
The white doctor only wore gloves and a tshirt.
Last Saturday morning at 12:02 I was coming home from from a gig at 12:02 eastern time and NPR had a report on their top of the hour news that the drug used to save those two americans was given to 35 monkeys that had been intentionally infected with Ebola. And all 35 were healed.
What ever happened to that story?

Thanks, Black Agnes!
Important notes: The white guy is wearing a physicians sans borders t-shirt.
What wasn’t seen, yet, was somebody running up to him with a bucket of gasoline and setting him on fire. There is a good chance that will happen in future.
More ominously, in a future case, when they bundle the ebola victim in the back of the truck, they might immediately euthanize them with an injection. This indicates a government panic mode.
By that time, bodies will be disposed of in pits, optimally covered with a layer of quicklime (calcium oxide).
Holy cow. I’m not surprised, though.
Thanks for the ping!

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Fascinating video...
Whoa. What’s with the white doctor only wearing gloves and a t-shirt?
Hey, it’s Africa. It’s hot. He’s not used to that kind of weather...
Youre Welcome, Alamo-Girl!
