"Ethnic Pride" is the refuge of sad sacks who have nothing else to be proud of in terms of personal achievement. You don't see the Jews having Jewish Pride day do you?
You always seem like a guy who screams “Get off the lawn!” at kids.
In reality, the should be celebrating George Vancouver, not the corrupt Genoese of the Caribbean.
Yes, I am a crotchety 38 year old who yells at the kids to stop interrupting his Sunday cigar smoke with their horseplay in the pool. BTW: Get a masculine haircut and a real job you Billyburg hipsters! ;)
Don’t they know he was a representative of the Spanish Crown?
Do they hate Hispanics?
I can’t tell if this is from idiotic liberals, or communists who are trying to destroy all foundational beliefs about the country.
Love this statement!! Always been amazed and perplexed at how many 3rd generation Americans still hold onto ethnicity like some sort of lifeline to their personal identity.
They hate Catholics/Christians.
I think Seattle should change its name as it is named after an indian and they even misspelled his name. “Seattle” is racist. Seattle was named in 1853 after Chief Si’ahl of the Duwamish and Suquamish tribes.
Fine. Let it be a CELEBRATION OF BACON, (bitches).
Same people who support illegal immigration?
Speaking of “meltdown.”
Whenever I have a global warming argument with a Seattle Leftist, I point out that, 15,000 years ago, we would be standing under a half mile of solid ice!
I always end the conversation with, “I’m rather fond of global warming.”
Re: “Black slave owners”
A number of Indian tribes also owned Black slaves.
Since most NFL players are Black, it has occurred to me that playing on the Washington “Redskins” might carry a trace of sweet revenge.
Ha
I did this in a climate debate last year in Jefferson County. The smart liberal could help but show the people he knew everything about everything as he said: "Glacial Till occurred over hundreds of thousands of years. As glaciers were moved by gravity ever so slowly they broke rock formations apart and moved the smaller pieces with them. As they reached lower altitudes where it is warmer they would melt and deposit the rock...".
At that point his voice drifted off as he realized he was painting himself into a corner and he started talking about how this process that has been going on forever has accelerated hundreds of times over because of manufacturing and diesel trucks.
