Exactly. Being a nuisance spoiler is easy. Actually reforming the Republican party is a long term project that will take serious work and tenacity. We should accept no substitutes.
The GOPc will increasingly exert strength into the legislative process. A Republican Senate must pay attention to the GOPc or it will not be able to function, to pass anything.
To expect a conservative legislative renaissance is a bit much but on balance there will be conservative change. One wonders how the appropriations bills out of both houses presented to the president will be handled. Will he veto and be strangled or acquiesce.
Only then can reform of the Republican party happen.
