STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - A small new fissure eruption in an ice-free area of Iceland's Bardarbunga volcano system prompted authorities to raise their warning of the risk of ash to aviation to the highest level on Sunday.

Iceland's largest volcanic system, which cuts a 190 km long and up to 25 km wide (118 miles by 15.5 miles) swathe across the North Atlantic island, has been hit by thousands of earthquakes over the last two weeks and scientists have been on high alert.

In 2010, an ash cloud from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, in a different region of Iceland, closed much of Europe's air space for six days.

Thank you, blam. That is truly interesting. And yes. When there’s more junk in the sky, evaporation happens more slowly as do condensation and precipitation. Drought results in some areas.

Sponsors of popular media perpetuate the myth of anthropomorphic global warming, but they are also likely semi-privy to information about the extended solar minimum and the (so far) wandering, dissolving geo-magnetic field and associated increasing outer core activity. During the ‘90s, one of my friends was a member of a team gathering and providing information about changes that governments and corporations were interested in.

Something interesting to look at. I haven’t had time to find newer info, yet. Might be a good idea to pay attention to any news about X-class flares in the near future (because of weakened field protection against such flares and geomagnetic storms).
