How’s Caitlin doing through all of this? Is she staying with you?
I’m sitting here on the West Coast, so I get a delayed MTP; your Feinstein post hit before I heard here here. She can sound sane after all.
Next comment/question — Some news guy came on and told how reporters risked life and limb to research and report on ISIS, and how we were all warned.
I stopped and doubted my own mind. I do not recall ANY reporting of ISIS type threat. In fact the first news of any reporter being over there was when Foley was beheaded.
How did I miss all the reporting? Or was there none?
The Islamist Trojan Horse is everywhere...MB is in Administration and also locally in schools and on city councils..We’ve got one in Jax, FL on city council.
Where’s Bray? Still in bed, sawing logs?
We definitely need Jack Bauer at the ready no matter where the enemy is plotting....Dang! the chinese have him now until September!
I would love to find out who the REAL Jack Bauers are in this day and age.
Elsewhere on this forum (yes, I know, it's hard to believe) I've gone around the dance floor with more than one "we need a third party"..."independent conservative"
I ask them "So, just what is wrong with the GOP platform" They tell me, "it's a just pack of lies". I responded that the candidates don't design the platform the people do...at conventions.
Then they come back with; "The candidates won't follow the platform." I ask "Whose fault is that?" They respond..."The voters"
Geeeeeeez!
Thank you for playing.
Yes, I know, of course. My question was somewhat rhetorical...
Still, they need to have a message to win. I simply cannot believe they don’t know that, so my next thought is they really don’t want to win, or at least it is more trouble than it is worth in their estimation.
The following items are probable causes, up for discussion:
1. Demonization from the Media. Remember Todd Akin and the “Pregnancy rarely induced by rape” statement, used extensively and constantly by dems and media (one in the same, I know) to “prove” there was a “Republican War on Women”? Sandra Fluke, George Stepanopolis on the GOP Debate 2012, et all... So the GOP is keeping their collective mouths shut because the full-court press by the dem/media coalition just bamboozles them every time, and they cannot win, so better to lie low.
2. The GOPe doesn’t really have a governance plan that much removed from the dems. Just a tad little more to the Right, but not much.
3. Winning means the TEA Party wins. Better to lose than let THAT happen!
4. The country is so screwed no one wants to be holding that potato when the music stops.
5. The electorate has simply reach enough mass to forever vote democrat—or at least the “gibmedats” have the majority. The Rubicon is crossed, the die is cast, the toilet’s been flushed, Elvis has left the building. Our Great Republic is toast. Idiocracy is here.
6. No one in the GOPe gives a rat’s ass.
7. The Almighty is ready for His Second Coming.
Personally, I’ve always held to #5 in the near term, #7 in the next ten years, hence my FReeper handle...
And George W Bush is to blame for the voters
I’m really not sure we’ll take over the Senate. In a better time, with a better electorate, I would absolutely believe.
But after Obama wining TWICE (!!!???) and the ho-hum attitude to all the bad news lately, I’m not so sure anymore.
LOL its the heat, blazing down here for another 4-6 weeks.....
I should have said...no hope without Jesus
The biggest problem with the MB is how to get rid of them if we ever get rid of the commies running things now. That goes for all the mosques—terror hideouts— as well.
Your cold is our heat.
Yes, how did the spread of mosques and Islam happen so fast? 15 years ago—in 2000—there was ONE mosque in the whole state of Alabama, now there are 49.
After 9/11, that ONE should have been closed.
Not MORE added.
It didn’t help that Dubya called Islam a relgion of peace, and a great religion.
They more I learn about Islam, the more evil, abhorrent, and demonic it becomes. Mohammed really was a thief, murderer and pedophile. He was a vengeful, blood thirsty killer and led and encouraged a brutal, heartless campaign of conquest in the name of “God” who was everything the God of Abraham and Father of Jesus was not. Jesus said “By their fruits ye shall know them.” The fruits of Islam is merciless torture and death. It needs to be banned in the USA.
Political correctness will not allow that, and political correctness rules the nation’s body politic.
Every day I can’t help but saying “We are SO screwed!”
“But Im betting Feinstein, a major player in the foreign relations committee, really doesnt like Obama and his crew of jokeers.”
Fish - what does it mater now. After all we have Romneycare and other great socialist G’ment benefits that DiFi was very much happy to vote for.
A broken clock “may” be correct twice a day. But we are talking about filthy RICH Commies/Socialist dictator scumm
Everybody gets a holiday now and then....even the best of the best....
Obama turns ‘prepper,’ warns of coming ‘crisis’ ‘Families should assemble a disaster supplies kit’
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3198974/posts
President Obama on Friday turned prepper, with a proclamation regarding National Preparedness Month that warned emergencies, from hurricanes and wildfires to cyber and terrorist attacks, can strike anywhere at any time.
In his proclamation, he said each household should have its own plan.
Before emergencies occur, we must make sure we are ready to respond, and it is every Americans responsibility to be prepared. There are simple but important steps we can all take to ensure we know what to do and have what we need in the event of a crisis. National Preparedness Month is an opportunity to talk with our families, friends, and colleagues about the risks in our communities and to practice our responses in all the places we regularly visit.
He said Americans should be familiar with local threats and hazards and take steps to reduce their devastating impacts.
Families should assemble a disaster supplies kit well in advance and have a plan to reconnect after a tragedy, the president said.
We are still looking....closest we can come up with is tonight at 9:00 on showtime-- Ray Donovan--he's standing in for Jack for a while..... How R U doin' hippie?
I think we have a pretty good shot at it. If we were really on the ball which we are not we could even get close to the magic 60.
