Saddam was paying families of suicide bombers on a daily basis and making a big press event out of it. How could you say Iraw was not a major terror sponsor?
Saddam was the only state leader to applaud the WTC bombing. If you didn't take Saddam out you weren't serious about a war on terror.

OK. I don’t recall hearing about this all until Bush wanted to invade. He (or his minions) was just looking for reasons to. Syria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Gulf States, Iran - all were bigger problems than Saddam, who kept Iraq from what it is now. Believe what you want. I have no doubt Iraq was one of the greatest mistakes in US history. Now we have Iran stronger and Isis is running roughshod over Syria & Iraq.
