My birthday is Sept. 15. I'll make a bet with you that before that date, Papa O'Dingo and his gutless band of GOP-Eers will have pledged federal tax money to "help heal Ferguson."

The more states are forced to pay for their own problems, the more they will oppose sending money to the feds and federal intervention.

I must have missed it. When did the insurance companies stop/refuse to sell property insurance in Ferguson, Missouri?
Seems like an issue of bad management compounded by bad behavior.

Blatantly ridiculous! Since when did the taxpayers become the insurer of every conceivable ill that befalls a citizen? I dont recall this ever happening before 9/11. Then Katrina. I lost my home and business to a wildfire through no fault of my own, and the government gave me squat, which is precisely what I expected. Is this not precisely what commercial insurance is for?

All “welfare” and EDB cards will no longer be authorized for payment UNTIL the entire group of businesses is back in operation “full tilt”
You destroy, you pay! Simple as that and END OF STORY!

Just take the reconstruction money out of the millions that go in to EBT cards for the Ferguson rioters and looters every month.

F Ferguson. That is all I can say. Blacks created this riot and blacks can just do without. Maybe a lesson learned. Now if King Obama, a real communists BLACK Muslim traitor tries then impeachment is really due.

While I am not an insurance expert, I vaguely remember hearing that business property insurance policies do not cover damages due to civil insurrections.
I guess it is possible to buy an insurance policy that would cover it, but I sincerely doubt the premiums and/or deductibles would be considered affordable...
Much like an 85 year old trying to buy a million dollar life insurance policy.
I'm sure it can be bought, but the exclusions would be larger than the inclusions, and the premiums would be prohibitive.
Either way, there is no way Federal taxpayer funds should be used to rebuild.
If the people of Ferguson or the state of Missouri elect to divert a portion of their noncriminal element citizens involuntarily confiscated taxpayer funds to compensate those businesses, that's entirely up to them, and none of my concern.

The political pressure being what it is the officer will be charged & we will be treated to another political show trial like the one for Trayvon Martin . Only this time the feds will work with the prosecution to insure no mistakes are made that could result in an acquittal & that the political blackmail threats of more riots are foremost in the minds of jurors.
To: Nebr FAL owner
Sadly, you're probably right. The only other option I see is that the local trial will be an acquittal and then the Feds will prosecute on civil rights violations ala Rodney King.
It's wishful thinking on my part that the cop will walk away clean.
