We have traded a middle class with a high measure of security in those things necessary to life and the starting and raising of families—like security in the workplace, in housing, in healthcare, in transportation, in education, in food supplies, in energy—for having to work like rats or have your job outsourced and take months to never to find a new job, to huge student debt, crushing medical costs, housing bubbles, cars that cost what houses once cost, rising grocery prices (seems every item I put in my basket is the better part of $5), sky high energy bills, and fancy electronic gizmo's.
It all reminds me how Native Americans were gulled into trading what was really important in their lives for glittering trinkets.
Your ipads and other consumer electronics are the glittering trinkets of the day, which by the back door, have turned our once healthy lives of real prosperity (prosperity in the real necessities of life) upside down.
Bravo, tell it like it is brother. You nailed it.
