Christine Lagarde, the chief of the International Monetary Fund, was placed under official investigation for negligence in a French corruption probe that dates back to her days as France’s finance minister.
In a statement Wednesday after a fourth round of questioning before magistrates, Lagarde said she would return to her work in Washington later in the day and said the decision was “without basis.” She is the third IMF managing director in a decade to face legal troubles. …

She is basically accused of neglecting her job as a government official by failing to sufficiently investigate a potentially corrupt arbitration. It is a very strange case, probably political.
Corrupt perhaps. But an Obama associate, hardly.
I did some research on this topic some months ago and found that they did not work for the same law firm.
She worked for a law firm that specialized in international contracts, a law firm that Obama had no connection with.
Obama was a South Side, Hyde Park “community organizer.”
Lagarde went to the top French schools-she was a born elitist. I would bet dollars to donuts that she and Obama never met. She traveled in very high social circles in Chicago. If they worked for the same firm, please tell me which one. I searched the bios of both and could not find any common ground.
