But a number of fundraisers operating in more permissive jurisdictions – particularly in Kuwait and Qatar – are soliciting donations to fund extremist insurgents, not to meet legitimate humanitarian needs. The recipients of these funds are often terrorist groups, including al-Qa’ida’s Syrian affiliate, al-Nusrah Front, and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the group formerly known as al-Qa’ida in Iraq (AQI).

Until our politicians and media are willing to talk about the reality of Islam the way Mr. Spencer does, we are fighting a losing war. All the blood and treasure we spend is simply wasted, because we refuse to acknowledge the reality, let alone devise an effective solution. But 99% of them never will.

Whatever they may disagree about, Western leaders are in complete agreement about one thing: the new self-styled caliphate, the Islamic State, has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.
And that is why it is winning. It has EVERYTHING to do with islam. It is islam. It is the whole purpose and reason for islam. We lose simply because we refuse to acknowledge who or what the enemy really is.
