Steve Doocy and Air Force Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney (Ret.) discussed the apparent shift by the Obama administration over the past few days.
McInerney agreed that someone from the White House spoke to Dempsey, leading to the revised comments on Sunday. He argued that, just like in 2012 prior to the Benghazi attack, the White House is looking to downplay the terror threat before an election.
"They knew an attack was coming and they ignored it. Just for the election," he said.
He then warned about the prospect of another large-scale terror attack, saying Sept. 11 is an "attractive date" for ISIS.
"I believe that we should go to DEFCON 1 and be prepared for another strike. ... I believe American cities will be attacked and we should be prepared for it," he said.
"The American people are in danger. We need a massive air campaign in Iraq and Syria," said McInerney, noting that he believes members of ISIS have already infiltrated across the southern border.

DEFCON 1?
Maybe that doesn’t mean what I think it does — but DEFCON 1 would be an overreaction, IMO.
1. Have the helpers of Hasan been arrested and shot?
2. Have the enablers of the Boston terrorists
(letting them into the USA after 2 warnings without

3. Has there been any attempt to close the borders?

If McInerney really knows something specific, his teasers are irresponsible. The last I heard he was saying we had to wait for some book to come out next month which would explain “why”.
Has General McInerney forgotten the definition of Defcon 1?

These douchbags are preparing for a strike and accepting the causualties, our dead family and friends, instead of nuking the region and be done with it. They should and will be held accountable for allowing this to happen again if it does!
American cities are under threat he says and he wants to use resources to attack overseas. That does not sound smart.
Yep, pretty much DEFCON 1 has our missiles either aimed or launched at the enemy already with all air assets available used as nuclear delivery vehicles (B-2, B-52, F-22s and F-15s with B61s, etc.)
I would say that DEFCON 3 would be more appropriate with bases on high alert and missiles prepped and ready.
THEN we should start getting SERIOUS.
Whatever they do the DOJ will say it’s only a singular instance. There can be one thousand singular instances not of which are connected. The mussie in chief will see to it.
According to some things I read about ISIS nuking Mecca would be doing them a favor.
Nuke the entire region, then.
Look for an attack at the end of October so Obamama can postpone the election and institute marshal law throughout the country.
And .. I hope people remember that it was McInerney ALONE who had the right information re the war in Iraq.
