Would it be too much to ask the Brits for a repeat performance?

The USA and GB were not on friendly terms till the 1880s. It was said that Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show and Annie Oakley in Europe, did more for foreign diplomacy than all the government diplomats combined.

It was said that Dolly Madison saved the portrait of Washington, and also took the two books containing all the laws and statutes of the USA!

Now days it would take several semi trucks to get all the laws and statutes out of Washington. Better to let them burn.

And during that event Zebulon Pike after whom Pike’s Peak is named cashed his chips in when the withdrawing British blew up their ammunition magazine and flying rocks from the explosion fatally struck him.
