No president ever enjoys a carefree vacation.
Global hot spots and domestic problems frequently intrude. That's unquestionably true this year, as President Obama spends downtime on Martha's Vineyard.
Through it all though, Mr. Obama,

I wish the Republican party would take the time to research and document every single vacation day, golf outing, and people that attended those vacations and golf outings. Questionable diplomatic trips that seemed like vacations should be documented. All of the the over all cost of all this leisure should be recorded.
I would love for them to do it for each president back to FDR. Do it for all their family members and note whether the trip was with or without the president.
Put it in an easy to search database and include nice pie charts.
We all know the silly and WIDELY publicized (viral media) stat the Journ-O-list apologist put out that shows Obama as having the fewest vacations of any president EVER! is total Bull Crap. For those of us who follow the news daily, we know this clown is always taking vacations.
The RNC should use media clippings, Freedom of Information FIFA filings to document this lazy and wasteful poor excuse for a president. Give us hard facts to turn back the left. Provide links to articles, but save the entire articles in a backed up database.
Just my humble opinion, but I am sick of hearing people who know nothing, make excuses for Obama and point to fake statistics from "an official tracker of Presidential vacations" who is a journ-o-lister.
Please Republican party. Do something productive that will allow us a tool to counter the left with the uninformed voters. You have the money and resource.
I would do it, if I had the time. A few years ago, I had an Obama Golf Tracking Project web site. After 2 years, I had nearly 90 golf outings including the trips to Camp David (3 hole golf course). It was stunning.
RNC, please help. You have the time and resources to do this right. For history sake, stop the left from re-writing it.
The RNC has a “Don’t be mean to Barry” policy. Didn’t you notice that in the last election?
Drivel dribbling from fawning chins. Yuch and wretch.
I think Naught.
Cliff’s notes for this puff piece:
Why do bad things always happen to Obama (sniff!)?
Why can’t you people understand that he is just like every other President, doing what Presidents do, and serving his country. Please cut him some slack. He’s doing a great job under difficult circumstances.
They need to get mean. Barry is the Democrat Party. He is the best tool the RNC has to beating the Democrats, but I am afraid they fear winning big, because conservatives might gain more power.
I have been disappointed and frustrated with the Republican party for many years.
I would hate to have to defend a worthless piece of community organizer they way the left defends obama. If they had any ethics, it would be tear their souls.
The leftist media will always defend its champions as infallible and always denigrate political opponents as thoroughly and hopelessly flawed, and never acknowledge the manifest hypocrisy. SeeBS is the epitome of the glaring double standard that it sincerely believes its audience is incapable of recognizing.
My sad experience with all too many leftists is that they appear unconcerned about looking foolish if it is done in the service of advancing their ugly agenda.
I’m not sure whether it’s inherent in their psyches or whether it’s a learned behavior, but I have observed it occurring far too often for it to be a fluke.
For example, they can not abide a truth that contradicts their dogma, so they will raise objections every time in order to get the last word and make it falsely seem as if they are correct, when in fact they are wrong. They will raise a “trivial objection” in an attempt to make the truth appear to be false. They will raise ridiculous objections that even a child can see are phony, apparently without worrying that it makes them look like fools, because they are more concerned about pushing their agenda then they are about looking like idiots. They are unashamed to be seen as obvious sycophants and bootlickers when it comes to defending their heroes against the indefensible.
It’s appalling, but it occurs so often that it’s apparently “a feature” of pathological leftism rather than “a bug”.
Present tense? Like just this month? First ever vacation?
I am surprised.
Desperation to make Obama look like just a regular president getting some well deserved rest.
Bush held press conferences at the ranch all the time with foreign dignitaries and domestic national officials. Those were real working vacations.
The Four Duffeteers — Curlos, Morros, Larros & D’Ohbama
LOL!!!!!
I don’t remember seeing headlines criticizing previous presidents for their totally insincere words about an American being brutally murdered, particularly by a foreign entity, and then going RIGHT BACK to their golf game or vacation in general. I seem to recall presidents acting like mature adults and scuttling their private fun in order to present a dignified and responsible President to the world.
Again, like even TV newsies (FOX included) they only compare “official” vacation days. His fund raising trips are never included in comparison with former presidents.
I would like to see a comparison of “days away from Washington”.
This POS doesn’t know the meaning of rolling up his sleeves at the office. His time spent working is just a distraction to his leisure time, smoozing and being fawned over.
It gives the appearance that he was dragged off the course to make a few words, then off he goes.
Wasn’t he dragged from the course in the middle of the “Bin Ladden” raid?
Hey, I heard it on NPR this week: W took three times as many vacation days.
(Yeah, they were counting his working days in Texas as vacation.)
Remember When President Bush Gave Up Golf?
I dont want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf, Bush said. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them.
And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong message, Bush said.
