I don’t remember seeing headlines criticizing previous presidents for their totally insincere words about an American being brutally murdered, particularly by a foreign entity, and then going RIGHT BACK to their golf game or vacation in general. I seem to recall presidents acting like mature adults and scuttling their private fun in order to present a dignified and responsible President to the world.
It gives the appearance that he was dragged off the course to make a few words, then off he goes.
Wasn’t he dragged from the course in the middle of the “Bin Ladden” raid?
Let me jog your memory a bit. From the original article:
"Franklin Roosevelt fished in the Caribbean during the Nazi blitz of London."
Oh? And where was CBS when Eleanor had to claim FDR's body at Warm Springs, Georgia while vacationing with his mistress (away from his wife) and having his dignified and responsible image painted, whilst at the same time the Marines and Army were fighting their bloodiest battle on Okinawa (having landed 11 days before); and the Navy suffered its greatest losses to kamikazi attacks offshore?
