TAVARES A former Leesburg police officer acquitted Friday of sexually assaulting a woman in his custody had a terse message for the 24-year-old and her family after the verdict: "Move on."
People in the courtroom broke into tears when the jury of four women and two men found Henri Bart Larue, 27, not guilty of armed sexual battery by a law-enforcement officer a crime that could have landed him in prison for life.

Yay cops. Cops are the best. That 'Move on' comment sounds like Clinton's 'You should put some ice on it' from way back.

Hey, here’s a thought: What if the jury is right and he’s innocent?

False accusations are tough to counter in this current environment. Even when getting not guilty, lives are destroyed.

There can be no doubt that cops sometimes commit serious misconduct...or even crimes...while in uniform. There can also be no doubt that cops are sometimes falsely accused for various reasons...including financial reasons.I don’t have the first clue if this cop is,in fact, innocent or guilty but it’s surely beginning to look like the cop in FERGUSON is innocent of misconduct/criminal acts.

If he actually didn't do it, then this comment certainly isn't helping matters:

So him saying “move on” is an indicator of his guilt? When did this website become so anti-law-enforcement and presumption of innocence? Did I miss a meeting or a conference call? BTW, the jury said “he didn’t do it” so just like the Zimmerman case, we do need to “move on” from it. That’s how the system works.

Yeah, thats what we convict based on, the look.I'm a prosecution's worst nightmare. I actually require proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

You and me. I’m a rough-looking, ugly, six foot tall, 350lb schlub. I know exactly why my ex took me to the cleaners in the divorce, not that she was Morgan Fairchild or anything.

I meant what I said. His comment sounds like a perp taunting a victim. If, as the jury said, he is innocent, making such a comment does not help him in any way.

If he was falsely accused, his comment is extremely mild.

IMO, it doesn’t sound like what someone who was falsely accused would say at all.
