It was just announced on Milwaukee's WISN radio that State Senator Joe Leibham of Sheboygan will NOT ask for a recount of the August 12 Primary election, thereby leaving State Senator Glenn Grothman as the Republican nominee for the seat left vacant by the retiring Rep. Tom Petri. No word yet on the final vote count.
Glenn will be a great Congressman.

Conservative BUMP!
Awesome!
I did a quick review of Grothman’s record and he seems to be a rock-solid conservative.
In November he’ll face a DemocRAT opponent plus a Libertarian opponent. I’m not familiar with this Congressional district but I hope the Libertarian doesn’t end up tipping the election to the ‘RAT.
I’ll state this again. I’ve known Glenn Grothman for nearly 20 years and he IS the best candidate for which I have ever worked. My family and friends are thrilled for this great news.
On to victory in November!
Great news!
Other than a single two year term the district has been in Republican hands since before World War II. I think it’s a safe bet that it’ll remain that way.

Thanks, that’s good news.
Wonderful.
I agree. I’ve also known him for more than 20 years and have worked on his campaigns even when my area was excised out of his district from time to time.
But, when I went to the internet looking for a picture of Glenn, I certainly got a shock at some of the pent up animosity against Glenn out there. It is unjustified animosity becausse I don’t know anyone who actually knows him that feels that way. But, I think this campaign will get nastier before its over. I hope that today’s concession by Joe will mean that Joe will help Glenn in November.
Glenn is going to need money, and anybody can contribute.
Thanks, Jaz, for the link to the print story about the election outcome.
You’re most welcome, this is great news!
Does this district cover the Green Bay area?
Boy, did we need a break. Thanks for the smile.
Good for him. I’m somewhat surprised.
This is a good win.
Just south of there I think.
