Despite the move, however, Kirby insisted the Defense Department was not "militarizing" police departments and that the program as a whole was "useful" and "served a purpose."
"Lets be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater here," Kirby said.

It costs a lot of money to maintain, store, operate and provide training for military grade hardware. And there are other signficant contractual costs involved as well.
Who pays for the life cycle ownership costs of all this gear? Where is all the money coming from?
As usual, look for the money trail and you will begin to understand.
They know they've run the country into the ground (through deliberately evil decisions or through short-sighted stupidity really doesn't matter at this point), and they know they couldn't stop it if they wanted to at this point. So they've done the next smartest thing: Placed the assets needed to keep their brand of order on the ground.
Not that I doubt that a few deliberate agitators will be involved--but at the most they'll just be the spark. We the people have laid the tinder for decades now.
This denial is some of those mule cookies Col. Potter used to talk about.
No problem, those funds are derived from no-knock raids, and asset forfeiture.
They can give the police F15 Strike Eagles and it wont
matter. If used against the general population it still
wont be enough. First they wouldn’t have enough man power
to guard it. The vehicles and equipment that they are
doling out is only good against an unprepared populace.
Once the gloves come off and there are no holds bared on
the thinkers in our country the vulnerabilities will be
exploited and all that heavy duty military equipment will
either be destroyed or captured.
I believe they THINK they believe that they will control when the crisis hits,
but I don’t think that’s how it will go down.
The “crisis” will come under God’s control, and it will be a surprise to everyone - but much more so to two groups.
One, the group that thinks they were going to “throw the switch”,
and two, the group that didn’t know the crisis was coming at all.
Trust us we are the government. We know best.
“Lets be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater here,” Kirby said.
“The Third Reich had many things going for it. Like restoring law and order and discipline. And those snazzy uniforms. And goosestepping. Who didn’t like goosestepping? That’s what we need in the US. Police might actually *need* armored vehicles, belt fed machine guns and plastic explosives. Because riots and terrorism and stuff!”
Sorry, but that stumped me.
Think Revolutionary Period.
my apology ... also look at your post was posted to. Think all the clues will close, if not email ...
alrighty... I think I got it -
3rd revolution.
Rev 1 1776 - win
Rev 2 1883 - loss
Rev 3 2015? - tiebreaker
LOL ...
I, like you, think that the spark will be a financial crisis. With the mega banks and the billionaires on his side I believe they can touch off exactly what you are speaking of fairly easily.
All these billionaires think that they will be kings, my belief is that if Obama’s pattern and history’s lessons are any indicator they will stand before a wall. I just hope that the talking heads are there with them and on the 6 o’clock news. They will have to aim low for Bloomberg.
They can predict the actions of groups with some measure of precision but individuals are a different matter. Individuals are the wild cards in this game and no one knows how many are out there and what plans they have already put in motion.
God may let this play out, He has been known to teach hard lessons. In the time of Samuel, God warned the elders of Israel how their desire for a king would play out and that when things were horrible He would not hear their pleas. We may have set up this same trap for ourselves.
Hard to believe that there are people who are still ignorant of what is coming but it is true, I have spoken to many of them. It is willful and fearful ignorance, they just can’t deal with the truth. They will not be missed, at least by me.
You mean...
“Horse-biscuits!”
That was tried back in the days of Billion rounds of ammunition and other MRAP’s being divied up to po po departments...
Remember we were told it is not true, then we were told it was to replace stores of ammunition and vehicles that were deems unsafe to use, or diminished quality due to inadequate storage protection (ammo)...
Now its common place at every single incident newsworthy to broadcast, that we see all of this hardware in plain view, and poof...
It becomes the “new normal”...
All it takes is time (they have) to get those of us paying attention, to lose interest, a voice, someone to listen to our concerns...And Poof...
It becomes the “new normal”...
Was it the .001% left over that got ya???
;-)
It got me too...hehe
