FWIW, black cops have a reputation of being harder on “their own”.
If Officer Wilson had been black, this wouldn’t have happened. He would have had a greater understanding about the situation and allowed his homies to walk in the middle of the street with their stolen cigars.

That makes sense to me. I would think they’d get pretty ticked (and embarrassed) if they’re constantly called to crime scenes and the perp is black more often than not.
They would almost have to admit that there’s a reason the law keeps a closer eye on some minorities. If they had a reputation of being God-fearing, law abiding, good and kind citizens, they wouldn’t be “profiled”.
Y’all make sure you indoctrinate the newbies to be able to separate your blue bros from ‘civilians’ so they know there is only one response to any resistance from the proletariat.

The Ferguson PD’s current standards are obviously racist.
If that means more of them are law abiding and are willing to take a beating or shooting like the white officers have had o more power to ‘em. They migh understand how we furl after they get a taste of their own medicine...

Sad, but true.
I bet that those young men were fatherless, brought up by "mama," "auntie" and "grandma." Black fathers teach their sons how to deal with adult male authority and, more importantly, adult male white authority.
Fatherless boys/young men: the scourge of this country. Too many end up in the state/federal penitentiaries.

A post by another FReeper on another thread got me thinking. Apparently, the Ferguson police force has a miniscule number of blacks, in a town that is predominantly black (that might have been why they felt they had to go to the state police to get a black officer to attempt to counter the protests). It sounds like an effort to attract more black lawmen and women to Ferguson couldn’t hurt.
