A story is coming at the Post-Dispatch, I assume, but for now this is all we have.
Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop's version of events in shooting #Ferguson
— Christine Byers (@ChristineDByers) August 19, 2014
The only public interview I’ve seen with someone who supports Darren Wilson’s version of the shooting was Dana Loesch’s chat with “Josie,” and Josie wasn’t a witness. She claimed to be relaying Wilson’s own account of what happened. But then, go figure that locals who saw the shooting and think Brown wasn’t as innocent as he’s been portrayed might want to avoid cameras with their neighbors rioting nightly for the past week. One question as we wait for Byers’s story is whether the witnesses who have spoken to cops support Wilson’s story (via Josie) in its entirety or just select details. E.g., maybe they saw Brown mouthing off to Wilson when he told him and Dorian Johnson to get out of the street. Maybe they saw some sort of scuffle through the driver’s window between Brown and Wilson when the latter pulled up alongside. Maybe they saw him run from Wilson, then turn back. Did they see him “bum-rush” Wilson, though? A witness who corroborates Wilson on the first three points but not on the crucial last one isn’t going to help the case for self-defense much.
Meanwhile, a question regarding the protests: Is it true, as protesters have been telling the media, that the most violent actors are out-of-towners who came to Ferguson to stir things up and maybe grab some free stuff in the process? There’s no way to know exact percentages, says WaPo, but yeah, there’s definitely some “looting tourism” happening:

This person has had to go underground, according to Rush.
This slow drip of unnamed sources and hearsay is getting old. A gag order of some type should have been given concerning both sides of this so that a trial (if it comes to that) could be kept from any possibility of taint for either side. That is the system we have in America, right?
Didn't the mayor say that was happening a few days ago? They went for the Nikes in the shoe store as shown on the video at you tube.
There are several possible reasons for the cop to shoot--he thought he had to or get killed himself (similar to George Zimmerman's predicament), he overreacted and used more force than necessary in a situation that appeared more threatening than it really was, or he killed needlessly in cold blood.
Most of the inhabitants of Ferguson seem to be taking it for granted that the last option is the true explanation, that the cop committed murder.
One thing I have seen mentioned several times elsewhere, but not here: supposedly, there were three cars stuck behind the officers car, at the time of the shooting. They would have been ideal witnesses, since they were undoubtedly watching the entire thing unfold, from the beginning. What is more, they wouldn’t have necessarily been living in the immediate area, and may have be more objective.
I don’t know if the above is true. Just that I have seen it several times. But it could explain who some of the “more than a dozen witnesses” are.
Been thinking about this since it was first reported. It does seem like a lot of witnesses but then some probably saw pieces of the altercation with some maybe seeing the whole thing. So in total they can get the picture of what happened.
To add to my post the police probably got the statements before the narrative was set down by the media and the race baiters. Now the FBI is going to interview them and I hope the FBI does not try to get the witnesses to change their story to fit the narrative.
I don’t recall ever having read the officer’s account.
Somehow during all the excitement, Don Lemon seems not
to have presented the officer’s account. Maybe I just missed
it amongst all the interviewing of visiting dignitaries.
This shooting happened in the hood, plenty of witnesses but will they come forward? No way!
Holder has his work cut out finding all 12 and getting their minds right.
FedGov is certainly up to the task though. Just like on the X-Files.

I heard no work boots were stolen
Attorney’s for Wilson are not stupid.
Any witness which supports Wilson’s version of events will likely be treated like someone in a witness protection program.
Too many violent AH’s in the mix to mess around.
“I heard no work boots were stolen”
But! But! Nikes suck for stomping’! Work boys pack more of a punch!
Rest assured, many of them and their race industry heroes could care less about the real truth or the real evidence.
They have their own truth and refuse to hear anything else.
Same old thing, over and over.
These witnesses are probably all scared to death
Any witness which supports Wilsons version of events will likely be treated like someone in a witness protection program.
Too many violent AHs in the mix to mess around.
I should have mentioned, everything is upside down nowadays because based on history, the huge majority of people who went into a witness protection program, were criminals
Now, it seems we have to protect the innocent truthful.
I suppose the media will now demand the witnesses’ names so they can be intimidated into changing their stories.
