Why would they mark a set of keys, but not the spent casings?
I think it was good shooting under pressure....some here joked about stepping it up.
In app 20 years, Ferguson has gone from app 73% white in 1990 to app 28% black now. The ghetto rats left the St Louis ghetto areas for fresh fields to destroy and leech from, driving the whites out. I think those white cops remaining need to give them what they say they want-a force which is “representative” of the town-black, thug, whatever.
I ask that whites be given the same right-representation which is also racially representative of them.
Shrug okay. The situation dictates which shooting policy you use every time.
Be sure to NEVER practice:
Shooting with your weak hand,
shooting from your pocket,
shooting after running 2 miles (high heart rate)
shooting while grappling,
shooting from the prone position,
shooting over your back
shooting from/into a vehicle
shooting while driving
shooting while retreiving object/person
and especially, never practice emergency (LDE) firing procedures. /sarc
I worked with a guy who was hit with a hard ball in the face near the eye, and the damage was so bad he had to have a metal plate put in.
Tells another story here. LEO and Holder at odds, hello!!!
This statement reflects a difference of 1% over 20 years.
“...and be able to nearly pinpoint where the shots were fired based on the casing locations...”
If the shells are ejected exactly the same, the angle of ejection is exactly the same, the officer’s arm is not moving, the officer’s grip on his weapon is constant, the shells don’t roll or bounce or hit a stone, the casings weren’t kicked around....
Yeppers. See #44 from the boss himself.
I’m one of those who believe cops have murdered many innocent people in America, though this one appears to be completely justified.
Doesn’t mitigate the innocent people killed like James Chasse in Portland, or the guy shot by a cop in Washington state because he was whittling a stick, or the veteran killed in the Las Vegas Costco, or the guy a few days ago killed because he was carrying a toy rifle to the Walmart checkstand, or the guy who was strangled to death with an illegal chokehold in NYC.
I have nothing against cops...I know two local cops who are great guys, and an LAPD cop who’s really hard-core, in the gang task force and such, who is also a great guy.
But there’s also a lot of bad apples who seem to go into law enforcement to ride roughshod over people and are in it to legally bully people.

I don’t even know that it was strictly intuition. There have been plenty of occurrences of a white cop shooting a black thug since the Zimmerman fiasco (I know, not a cop-they upped the ante for this one)-the scandals have been piling up for the Kenyan Candidate, the clock is running out on his chance to stir up the real race war and perhaps use it as an excuse to implement martial law, etc. They could have been looking for an even to use-plus the fact that Ferguson’s police force is majority white while the town is now majority black.
So you’re suggest the casings, which appears to be 3 very close to the body based on the evidence markers, will not depict the close proximity of where Wilson was standing when those rounds were shot?
I think the cop stopped at some point, said freeze. Brown turned around and barreled at the cop. The casings should all be together plus or minus. The cops feet were planted, the kid was on the move. The head shot proves his position.
Just stumbled on this thread - I’ve been through nearly 6 radio news cycles since I got up and this is the first I’ve heard of the officer’s injuries.
.....and to all the others who responded to me......
I made an assumption many posts ago....
.......I was .just admiring the man for being such a good shot.
A lot of folks here have graciously corrected me.......Thank-you
I did not realize the eye injury was so severe......and admire him even more now
In a double handed grip one would turn to the side to decrease ones own target area.
A righthand dominate shooter would be turned to the right, looking at the assailant from his left.
So... yes, the recoil would impact his left eye.
But yes, I know the argument is ridiculous in the first place.
Me: For each his own. I am NEVER going to practice getting my first shot at the legs.
You: Shrug okay. The situation dictates which shooting policy you use every time
PLEASE tell me what situation requires shooting at the legs first when the COM target is available.
He was most likely aiming center of the perp’s body and since he is right handed he jerked the gun to the left each time he pulled the trigger, hitting the perp in the right side of his body. This is a very common issue with novice or average shooters. The most common pattern for novice right handed shooters is down and to the left. This is often caused by number of factors such as anticipation of recoil, poor hand positioning, slamming the trigger and looking over the sights.
