Missouri's governor ordered the National Guard onto the streets of Ferguson early Monday after another night of violence following the shooting by police of an unarmed black teen. "Tonight, a day of hope, prayers, and peaceful protests was marred by the violent criminal acts of an organized and growing number of individuals, many from outside the community and state, whose actions are putting the residents and businesses of Ferguson at risk," Gov. Jay Nixon said in a statement. "Given these deliberate, coordinated and intensifying violent attacks on lives and property in Ferguson, I am directing the highly capable men and women of the Missouri National Guard to assist Colonel Ron Replogle and the Unified Command in restoring peace and order to this community.
Looks like a bait & switch now.
The first arson should have resulted in daisy cutters to sweep the streets clean.
all live feeds I know of went down pretty much after the presser
Kinda shoots down the whole “nicey nicey” approach they were so smug about, doesn’t it?
Really?
The Left were worried their base was going to sit home in November.
What better way to energize them then with a nice long period of “social injustice”. All the talk will be about America’s terrible oppression of minorities, and all of the crap thats been dragging down the Rats poll numbers vanishes from the press....
a little vindication for Chief Jackson
They’ll have ammo, they may not have magazines in. Depends on the ROE.
There is no indication that the cop in the Ferguson incident was “militarized” in any way. He was a normal cop in a normal squad car making a normal stop.
This “militarization” meme is the latest Dem approach to excusing the bad behavior of its special weaponized pressure group constituency.
24 hours is a good mobilization time. Look for a few of them around sunset.
Great job of restoring the peace, there, Panthers.
I think riots will scare the Shiite out of Liberal White Democrats and "Independents."
“Tough on Student Violence” is what got Reagan elected Governor.
During the presser tonight, there was a question about NG, and the response was that they weren’t requesting it. I wonder if a reporter had gotten wind of a pre-deployment standby. If so, they might beat the 24 hours that’s pretty common for a cold start callout.
And to think that the left kept saying that the Tea Party was going to be the violent ones.
True!
Maybe the lefties are hoping for Kent state- they got a lot of mileage out of that one and all it took was an anonymous shooter.
You are really over-thinking this.
MO. Governor is a Democrat, the president is a Democrat. They are the ones in charge of this.
So what the hell are these people going to turn out for? To give them more power?
How you likin’ your government now lefties? I think they should drone strike those protestors and complteley walk all over their right to assembly and free speech... because they’re all a bunch of demoocrats and I’m a self centered partisan hack that doesn’t give a shiite about the constitution. drone strike them!
To the surprise of nobody CNN keeps bashing the police and the crowd can do nothing wrong.
We Freepers have protested in the past but there’s a major difference. If things got so bad that people would use our protest for violence and looting we would give it up. The whole idea is what message is your protest trying to send. Is it that you support thugs and looting? That’s the message I get from the St Louis protestors. We Freepers would say that they’re not going to hide in our crowd. If that means packing it all in, then oh well.
Another major difference is that when we get done with a protest, there’s less trash than when we got there. You can always tell a leftist protest by the massive amounts of trash they leave everywhere.
