Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.
One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Browns skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the familys request to conduct the separate autopsy. It was likely the last of bullets to hit him, he said.
Mr. Brown, 18, was also shot four times in the right arm, he said, adding that all the bullets were fired into his front.
The bullets did not appear to have been shot from very close range because no gunpowder was present on his body. However, that determination could change if it turns out that there is gunshot residue on Mr. Browns clothing, to which Dr. Baden did not have access.

Dr. Baden provided a diagram of the entry wounds, and noted that the six shots produced numerous wounds. Some of the bullets entered and exited several times, including one that left at least five different wounds.
This one here looks like his head was bent downward, he said, indicating the wound at the very top of Mr. Browns head. It can be because hes giving up, or because hes charging forward at the officer.
He stressed that his information does not assign blame or justify the shooting.
We need more information; for example, the police should be examining the automobile to see if there is gunshot residue in the police car,...

You are correct.
So now he's an expert on Police work? He needs to STFU and stick to what he does best.
Scanner reporting many shots fired call, looting, fires, and a Ferguson PD car was just rammed.
That may be in part why he kept coming, only one immediately lethal looking wound.
(of course toxicology may reveal more reasons)
You shall do unto them as they thought to do.
(It’s a bitch when the penalty is death.)
I'd recommend extensive dry firing, followed up by some range time.
Nice shooting!
A great win all the way around - banger pushing up daisies and overdue public questions about militarized cops with too much kook gear.
Thanks Mr. Rogers and Beadcounter.
The torso shots are only to the right marginal side of the body.
Might that be indicative the officer may have primarily intended a drop shot and not a lethal (center mass) shot?
Article says six shots, some of which exited and entered again. Four of the six shots hit Brown’s right arm.
Seems to me that Wilson was trying hard to wound but not kill Brown, aiming at his arm at first.
I figured, when they started calling for the 2nd autopsy, that the cop would be vindicated by the findings.
How about a truckload full of adrenaline pumping through Officer Wilsons veins because he’s fighting for his life? that tends to screw up your aim a bit. All things considered he did good.
CC
He sure did. The head shots are a nice touch.
Don't know many details, but from what I read, the cop had been punched while Brown was trying to grab the gun. The cop could have been a bit woozy from being punched, hence the off-center shots.
Yup. Change the findings.....Then....
Maybe they'll lose the body like Lois Lerner's emails were lost,eh.
This Wilson guy must be punished whether he's guilt or not and the city must pay the relatives a lot of money.
Could be. We've only heard one side of the story, and hard to sort out truth from rumor from lies.
I just hope Holder ends up with egg on his face, the jerk.
So you're not buying the "He was trying to wing him" theory?
Looks to me that he was hit maybe twice in the arm with
exit and reentry wounds, then twice more in the head
for a total of four hits.
If Brown’s right arm was cocked in front of him
this would be possible.
I heard there was a bullet hole in the vehicle too.
They’ll be able to tell entry vs exit, that will end the hands-in-the-air debate one way or the other.
Thank god Uncle Chip is gone so he couldn’t pollute this thread.
