- Likely a 9mm or .40 - NAZIS loved the American .1911 .45acp - the 9mm was not a good “stopper” - as the US found when they went to .38’s in the Phillipines - and had to bring back the Colt SAA .45lc
-
- I carry a .44-40 Colt SAA and various revolvers I build with both .45lc and .45acp cylinders
- I recall demonstartions at Fort Benning where they fired a Garand .30-06 and a Colt 1911 .45acp at a hinged 1/4 inch steel plate attached top a post with stour hinges
The .Garand went thru the steel plate
The Colt produced a loud “Goiiiing” and the steel plate swung around
If you are going to .44 you might as well jump to a .45 - A .44 Special is close to a .44 Magnum cartridge - Go for the gusto -
- GLOCK makes a nice .45 now - carry two - never use a different caliber as a backup - (why reload)
I agree - the cop who shot him is going to be sent to prison - no question. Poor guy
Let’s pray that there will be no charges against the officer. Nothing is too difficult for God!

- You are correct sir
- Aiming for the hand or head reduces you chances and increases you misses - you will be called “The One Who Almost Survived” on your tombstone
- and Blue Glasers usually do not pass thru wallboard in homes - reducing unintended consequences dramatically
- and duck hunters use shot shells or they would miss most of the time - trick shot shooters use shot loads -

- Dear Mike -
-— close - but no cigars .

A dude is not going to know the difference in a .40 or.45 when it hits him. Really, is .05” a big deal? Not really.
The witness said it appeared the officer missed. The police account is that he was hit with the first shot and still kept coming.

- Ask a top handgun instructor about “point and shoot”
- Time is the key
- A man with a knife 15 feet away can reach you if you blink -
- practice practice practice - or - die die die -
- my daughter is upgrading the caliber of her carry gun
Either way, officer Darren Wilson will never be able to lead a normal life from here on out.
He will sued, hounded and persecuted the rest of his days.
His best bet is to disappear into Mexico and re-enter the US as an illegal alien pretending he is a Hispanic gay deaf-mute.
Charges should be filed against the race pimps and the hoodlums they got to lie for them. These scumbags are ruining lives and putting the entire community in danger so they can extort money from the city. They all belong in prison.

- there were some control tests using Magsafe .380’s on goats that showed good results
- But what man that can handle a .44 cannot handle a .45?
- Is your life worth saving a few buck on less expensive ammo?
- Pros use an up close .22 to the head - I test and try whatever is available - but according to my intended target and the time of day and the weather
- A .45acp will smash a windshield - a .38 or a 9mm will likely glance of the windshield
- Read up on Jeff Cooper and Elmer Keith - very instructive -
-
- How’s that Cigar Mikey?
I do hope you are correct but look how it has been handled already - I don’t have a lot of hope for the officer
-
- “The Taliban is within the walls”

thank you

My post was in reference to the .40 which you had mentioned. I prefer the .357. The .45 is not even close.

Well stated.
Great T-Shirt souvenir for Ferguson, MO. I’d buy a few!
Various calibers on ballistic glass .... .45 fails compared to 9mm, .40, .357
.45 does better when there is no metal or glass to go through.
