St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch said today that a grand jury will begin hearing evidence in the Michael Brown shooting case next week.
"We are doing it as we go along" rather than wait to present entire body of evidence to grand jury, McCulloch said in a brief phone interview.
Brown was fatally shot by a Ferguson police officer a week ago.

Demoncracy? Or demobcracy?
One thing that can be said is that all the range time Officer Wilson attended was not wasted, apparently he was a pretty good shot.
I have no sympathy for Michael “Meanest dog in the junk yard” Brown, Mess with the bull you get the horn.
It still isn’t clear how many shots were fired or which ones hit where.
Brown himself may have been a two bit thug. But he’s a mere pawn in the bigger picture, just as Trayvon was a pawn.
There is a celestial war going on that does not use any physical weapon. We are watching what happens when it intersects with earth.
The fit is really gonna hit the shan after the ‘no bill’ comes back from the Grand Jury.
Followed by howls for civil pros/persecution. And it will go about as nowhere as the prosecution of Zimmerman did, but the stress bids fair to crack the officer.
It’s because people won’t admit the obvious: Brown was under a full head of stupid steam. More stupid than even most real “gangstas.”
And I know it’s hypothetical, but imagine if Herman Cain had managed to become president. A man like that would not be shy about calling out the stupidity. Yeah he could be my son... a WAYWARD son.
More like the proverbial indicted ham sandwich, I'm afraid.

IIRC McCullock has been SLC DA since 1991 and is well-regarded. A local black politico has been trying to get him removed from the case, but MO law permits that only if the prosecutor has a personal connection to the victim/accused. Gov. Nixon is trying to put Holder/FBI in charge of evidence gathering and presentation to the grand jury, so McCullock publicly exerting his legal authority over the case now is a very good thing.
It will be interesting to see if there is pressure from the social activists to deny the policeman a government funded defense lawyer. if he has to pay for his own legal representation he’ll be bankrupt in days. Plus, he will certainly by overwhelmed by civil suits from the grieving family.
Unfortunately, the outcome is predetermined.
I’m sure Brown’s family will get a boat-load of money from a civil lawsuit. I hope the Governor down there is going to be smart enough to have the National Guard standing by when the Grand Jury comes back with it’s findings.
No, I don’t think Herman Cain would put up with this non-sense either. Nor Dr. Ben Carson.
If someone recorded the entire incident,(and it turns out to be in favor of the officer, which I’m betting it will) that will be the only thing that may stop some of the rioting that will follow.
But I doubt that will be enough. It will all be viewed as part of the ‘white man’s justice system’ from the terminally /perpetual victimhood crowd.
Well, the Wrong Rev. Wright kept on praying for God to damn America. It looks like he got his prayer granted.
Of course this is completely opposite from the genuine gospel approach. Bless enemies, let alone friends.
An eye witness caught on tape in a conversation with another witness, they were talking about how the cop was in the truck and Brown was in the truck and then started running, the cop then got out of the truck and yelled freeze,Brown began taunting the cop, then started to rush him,the witness says the cop started shooting and missed,Brown kept coming the cop finally hit him and he dropped.
There are a number of posts where this story is located
Apparently there has been one autopsy already, since Holder has ordered another one done by the justice department,I figure if the first one showed Brown clean of drugs there would not be another one
