I also did some searching, and Gross also apparently provides legal advice (or something) to the OWS folks.

So yeah, I’m not putting much stock in anything she has to say. I do agree that there is a legitimate concern about bad cops out there (and there are some), and the amount of MRAPs, etc. winding up in civilian police force departments. But this woman seems to be one of those who sees a criminal every time she someone in uniform.

Y’know what? Why don’t police forces all across America just go galt, or go on strike, or have a one month sick-out?

You can’t have it both ways, sweet cheeks. Many, many neighborhoods are down right dangerous, even for armed and trained officers of the law. And they deal with mighty dangerous, emotionally unstable people daily as well. They never know if they’re going to make it throught the day alive, or go home in one piece.
