Another piece from yet another conservative, about the “militarization” of law enforcement, while at the same time calling for dashcams and insisting police not show up to riots, in riot gear.

Doesn’t Steyn know the reporters being harassed, were asked to leave by McD’s management and refused to do so, because they were using the free WiFi to Tweet out incendiary messages to the masses? That they refused to leave, thus keeping McD’s employees at the store when they wanted to go home?

The list of mistakes goes on and on, and I won’t take time to correct them all.

But I’m shocked & dismayed that the left & right are finally finding common ground in their disdain & disregard for police, and the law that backs them up.

Paging Bill Ayers. Your seat at the table is now ready on the right wing!

Dashcams are dirt cheap...U.S. law enforcement spends money like drunken lottery winners..

You telling me these agencies can spend hundreds of BILLIONS on military uniforms, body armor, military war vehicles, jet helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, boats, drones, fleets of vehicles, weapons, radar equipment, radios, surveillance equipment, government unions, cameras for their own parking lot security, jails and on and on, but they can't afford to put a GD simple dashcams in their brand new fleets of vehicles?

No one buys that BS...

What they ought to do is burn all their military uniforms, put them back in police uniforms and make it standard all cops wear light weight tiny body cameras and dash cameras facing forward and backwards...

That's right, and you are short on data. For example, of the 450 no-knock raids made in New York City alone, PER MONTH, 10% were to the wrong address. That's how bad it's getting. This is a much bigger and more persistent problem than you apparently realize.

Unplug the router and they'd go.
