With the release of tape today by the Ferguson Police Department of a man who appears to be Michael Brown allegedly physically assaulting a much smaller clerk while stealing Swisher Sweet cigars, the media’s narrative has collapsed. The media – and top-level politicians across the political spectrum – portrayed Michael Brown in saintlike fashion. That narrative no longer holds.
The report from the police department states:
Brown grabbed a box of Swisher Sweet cigars and handed them to Johnson. [REDACTED] witnessed [REDACTED] tell Brown that he had to pay for those cigars first. That is when Brown reached across the counter and grabbed numerous packs of Swisher Sweets and turned to leave the store.
Brown then reportedly “grabbed [an intervening bystander] by the shirt and forcefully pushed him back into a display rack.”
We still don’t know the details of what happened between Officer Darren Wilson and Brown that led to Brown’s shooting death. Perhaps Wilson is a racist; we have no evidence of that as of yet. Perhaps Wilson used excessive force; we have no evidence of that as of yet, since we don’t have full evidence of the situation leading to the shooting. If Officer Wilson killed Brown without justification, he should obviously be punished to the full extent of the law....

I wonder if Nancy Grace will treat the Brown story as she did the Travvon Martin story, where she essentially ignored the overwhelming evidence against Martin so as to earn her race-baiting stipes, or ‘street cred’ with Al and Jesse.

Have you ever noticed how in election years, some local police blotter item that can be spun as supposedly proving a vast national crisis of white racist violence against innocent blacks seem to become the most important new event of the century for awhile? For example, in 2006 there was the Duke Lacrosse Case, in 2012 12-year old Trayvon Martin was wantonly gunned down by a white man from across the street, and in 2014 there’s Ferguson, MO, a place I have to admit to never having heard of before this month.
I'm guessing this is part of an organized media effort to drive up the black vote in an election year. And the odds are that folks anticipating a GOP landslide might be unpleasantly surprised when the election returns come in.
Maybe because they are legally required to get all their ducks in a row before releasing information to the public. They have been a little busy, what with the riots and all.
Oh, well - guess I sound too much like the mainstream press....
Meanwhile someone is cooking your Christmas goose.
I'm not buying that -- from hour one the press was asking the police for answers that they were perfectly able to answer from the start and which would have quelled the situation.

No they weren't. They were out filming the rioters, and the police were out trying to deal with the rioters. I do not remember any MSM source asking "Did Mr. Brown commit a crime prior to the incident?"
I don't remember the MSM even asking where Mike had been before the incident. I don't remember any Freepers asking either.
I cannot take Nancy Grace seriously. And it’s not the obvious reasons. Every time I look at her I think she looks like Jan from “The Brady Bunch”. I think that some time during one of her shows she’s gonna throw her notes in the air and start screaming “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!”

The answer is that anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
I think the police themselves know that full well.

This is starting to hurt us in our souls. You can’t even trust Brietbart anymore, since they assassinated The Man more than a year ago. Since then the site has been compromised and corrupted. The video that they are showing is from four years ago, because I remember watching it way back then. The man in that video is not Michael Brown, the young man who was gunned down for jaywalking. That’s right. He wasn’t stealing a car or robbing a store, he was just crossing through vehicular traffic. And the mean cracka cop confronted him and gunned him down for it, with lots of witnesses watching. You don’t have to believe me. The truth will come out, eventually, in spite of how the old media and the new media have been corrupted.
The “Gentle Giant” was actually a “Giant Problem” and now he’s been solved.
