Justice Department division leading Ferguson investigation hasn't had a director in more than a year

In March, the Senate filibustered Obama’s pick to be the nation’s top civil rights lawyer because of election-year politics — and what’s happening in Missouri is unlikely to change that.

The Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, which has been tasked by Attorney General Eric Holder to help lead an investigation into the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, has been without a confirmed leader since July 2013.

And because of Congressional gridlock and election-year politics, it’s likely that the civil rights department will not get a confirmed assistant attorney general any time soon.

Lol! Oh, you knew the liberal media would try to pin Ferguson on the "tea party" and congressional Republicans before it was over, they couldn't pin it on the local authorities in Ferguson because they were all liberal democrats. But if the Republicans would have just approved this Obama hack to some obscure civil rights panel, Brown would be alive today....

On a not so funny note, the US hasn’t had a director or leader for going on 6+ years now and look how great things have turned out.

Good, the Civil Rights Div of DOJ has been the most corrupted division in the Department, esp. with Perez at its head.

The only one more corrupt is Holder.

Less heads, more justice because the honest people can do their jobs without political commissars directing them.

The federal investigators don't need a director.

Their job is to fuel the flames of racial hate, burn the policeman, and give the Brown family grounds for a few million in reparations wealth redisribution.

Bingo. They fly in and spread money around to support the activists who rile up the crowds.

Those out of town bussed in protestors? We’re paying for them indirectly.
