Jack outlined for us what may actually have happened:

There seems to be some disagreement (surprise!) about how or why this happened.

Brown supposedly stopped at the QuickTrip (but may have been another convenience store) that was looted and burned down and stole something. The store employees called 9-1-1 about it. While he was walking home the cop stopped him not for stealing, but walking in the road. The cop told him and his buddy to walk on the sidewalk. Brown mouthed off to the cop and that was the trigger for the cop to stop and give them the once over.

When the cop tried to get out of his car Brown pushed him back in his seat and then jumped him. Brown went for the cop’s gun, one shot being fired, but missed. The cop got his gun back, pushed Brown back (who suddenly raised up his hands in surrender) and shot him once. Then the cop got out of his car and shot him three or four more times. Brown fell down to the ground and the cop shot him a few more times.

Unfortunately, the cop did not have a dash cam or any other recording devices that would help determine the facts. There were several witnesses to this and they all say that the cop murdered Brown.

If I am wrong about what I have just stated in the above be sure to correct me

Jack's not sure, Doughty if this is the whole, or straight story. But it sounds even-handed and plausible, so far. That info is just not readily forthcoming.

If this is the true story, the cop’s deep in the smelly brown stuff. Once Brown tried to surrender the cop’s job was to cuff him and arrest him, not to continue shooting. Shooting after a genuine surrender attempt would make it murder. BTW St. Trayvon of the Skittles (SBUH) was the subject, not victim, of a legal and legitimate killing.

I know that officers are not supposed to lose their cool, but I will say that a guy taking your weapon and firing it, that certainly wouldn’t be on my list of forgivable activity.

Makes you wonder how many witnesses there were, whose friends they were, an how much they coordinated their stories, or their friends and families did.
