Most likely.
But with stories like those of the singer of band,INXS,(sp?)Michael Hutchence, David Carradine, and occasionally confused teenage boys, auto-erotic asphyxiation popped in my mind.
Ironic that the manic phrase of his manic-depression influenced his manic, rapid fire humor made him famous, however, the flip side, the depressed state literally destroyed him, it appears.
A very talented but tragic man.

Michael Hutchence, David Carradine, and occasionally confused teenage boys, auto-erotic asphyxiation popped in my mind. Yes, in this day and age, when a troubled Hollywood personality is involved, it's hard not to consider that as the cause of death.
But, like it's been said, Robin Williams was long afflicted with mental issues. My gut instinct tells me that he finally couldn't take it any longer, and simply took his own life.
