Thousands of miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, three Republicans vying for their party's nomination for U.S. Senate in Alaska clashed on immigration Sunday night in a televised debate ahead of the Aug. 19 primary.
Both former Alaska Attorney General Dan Sullivan and Lt. Gov Mead Treadwell refused to sign a pledge offered by tea party favorite Joe Miller to oppose all efforts at "amnesty" for people here illegally if elected to the U.S. Senate, with Treadwell chastising Miller for sending out a mailer on immigration featuring menacing Hispanic gang members. Miller, in turn, noted that several of Sullivan's backers, like GOP strategist Karl Rove, favor allowing many of the 11 million immigrants in the country to eventually become citizens.

The race is still 50/50. Murkowski and Congressman Young are not much better than Begich. A third party run by Miller might not make a difference in the end.
Anyone backed by, or is associated with Rove, is a traitor.
Has Miller learned anything about campaigning from his last run when he lost to MurKOWski in a write-in? I like his position on the issues, but you can’t come across as a total doofus on the likability factor. Too many people vote with feeeeeeeeeeeeelings, even in red states.
We need more real conservatives in Washington and fewer business as usual politicians...that’s my bottom line.
Sullivan and Treadwell both fit the above category in my estimation.
Alaska and immigration made me think. How about sending the illegals now being transported elsewhere directly to Nome, Barrow, Clear, and to the closed down Peard Bay and Icy Cape AFS. All along the northern coast of Alaska with pack ice off the coast most of the year. I’m sure their distant relatives, the Athabascans, Iñupiat, Yupik, Aleut, Eyak, Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian tribes would all welcome them back into the fold. </sarcasm>
As more and more “liberals” depart the western states, some of them migrating north (unfortunately to Alaska), I see them landing in Alaska and dragging that area down to what has happened in Colorado.
Alaskan’s, you have my sympathies.
I’m not sure how successful they’ll be in AK. Hard life in most of the state with few of the amenities that most blood-sucking democrats desire. I would like to see the entire democrat party outlawed and all members of congress and high democrat appointees along with der Fuehrer shipped off to a prison camp inside of the arctic circle.
I'm not 100% sure on this, but Alaska probably has fewer votes on "feeeeeeeeeeeeelings," percentagewise, than any other state in the Union because it has the lowest % of females in its population.
In other words, the "feeeeeeeeeeeelings" vote is largely a feminine thing, and the "feeeeeeeeeeeeeeelings" vote largely explains the gender gap.
Agreed. But how else do you explain Miller getting shellacked by MurKOWski in a write-in vote, for heaven’s sake?
Fraud. Rigged voting, plain and simple. Fraud is easier to pull off if both parties are in agreement on the outcome.
UNACCOMPANIED "MINORS" HERE FOR A BETTER LIFE?
OR CENTRAL AMERICA CRIMINALS HERE TO WREAK HAVOC?
Adolescents, teens and pre-teens are prevalent in Third
Worlds as armed members of violent gangs and drug cartels.
DISPERSAL MAP
GOHMERT: WRT drug cartels paid $6000 each to "guide" the hordes over the border---"Would you, as a former prosecutor, call them criminals?" Gohmert nonchalantly asked Obama appointee, Leon Rodriguez--now heading USCIS--- a DHS agency.
The smirking Rodriguez stepped headlong into the trap as Cong Gohmert casually hoisted him on his own petard.....making the point that if the hordes were coming here to escape drug cartels, why is it they are consorting w/ the nasty criminals, and are paying the violent breed to accompany them over the border?
Definitely not the behavior of someone in mortal fear, "forced" to escape to the US for protection. More likely, the swarm is in collusion w/ the cartels. Better check those backpacks.
I like Miller.
