And I’ll bet not a one of them has a immunization record. Our kids MUST be immunized and have proof before they are allowed in school but apparently laws don’t apply to illegal alien children.
First on the school supply list should be a case of Rid and personal sized hand sanitizers.
Speaking of, that Target commercial (and any others) about them donating school supplies to the needy is one reason I will never shop there. There are plenty of supplies to go around. I have seen teachers throw out brand new supplies by the dumpster full. Year after year - folders, crayons, notebooks, etc. Brand new. Why buy a new pair of scissors every year? I had box of crayons that I'd barely used in 4th grade that my kid used 30 years later. Clean the average 6th grader's bedroom and you'll find enough supplies to cover the entire class. Besides, what you buy for your kid will probably get dumped into the communal box for the whole class to use.
There was a local news segment last night that the average family spends $400 on back to school supplies. Oh, please! Maybe if they're buying a computer but general supplies are less than $1 each.
