Did the police in fact shoot an UNARMED man, with his hands in the air?
Hard to support them if so. Damned Impossible to support them, if so. With trigger-happy cops, that same scenario could happen to ANYONE, black, white, hispanic, whatever.
Doesn't justify the locals acting like psychopathic morons, but if this did in fact happen, then the shooter - the "Gunman", as the Left always says - needs to be brought up on murder charges, and the Blue Brotherhood needs to publicly disown him.
If he had a gun and was aiming it at the cop - that's a completely different story.

Unarmed, hands in the air, and the cops shot him in front of a group of brothers... OK, I believe it, let's riot and kill the cops...S/OFF {is that even required, in your case, probably}.
Maybe they did; of course, we can certainly trust the testimony of eyewitnesses in a neighborhood where the “no snitching” ethos prevails, can’t we?
