Former NFL Pro Explains Why He’s a Republican: Democrats Are Destroying Black Communities
Independent Journal Review ^ | 8-8-14 | Michael Hausam

Garry Cobb played football for USC and then for 11 years with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is now running for New Jersey’s 1st District seat as a Republican, and his explanation of why he is no longer a Democrat is very compelling.

Explaining that he kind of discovered that he was Republican due to his upbringing, he said that the massively negative effects of Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty had the most impact:

This was an incentive for the man to leave the home and it’s destroyed African-American families throughout the country.

I didn’t realize it but as I started thinking about it and growing up, because as a kid going to college, you know I was all into the Democratic Party and everything; then I started realizing they helped destroy our communities and we’re supposed to be celebrating electing these people.

One of the towns in our areas, Camden, is still suffering. I want to put an end to this.

He goes on to explain further how the Democratic party and its policies have impacted youth, the economy, and more. He has some not-so-complimentary things to say about the President as well.

It’s refreshing to see a man in a position like Cobb’s so clearly explain why liberal economic and social policies are not as compassionate as many are led to believe…

Well, yes - but the Democrats have been destroying Black communities for fifty years now.

Hasn’t this become a kind of fixed and unswerving national policy?

Sadly he doesn’t have much chance in NJ-1, Romney got only 34% of the vote there. He almost ran in NJ-3 instead.

I wonder if he is distant kin to Booker T. Washington.

Just wanted to let y'all know... Johnny Football completed his first NFL pre-season pass!

And this is not Jerry's first pass attempt... so he has the situation well in hand--

Bender. I know you are excited about Johnny football, but the success of the Brown’s drafted quarterbacks is only slightly better than the Chief’s drafted quarterbacks. And we did draft Roger Stauback when we were AFL.

Yeah, but Roger decided on the Cowboys. BTW, Johnny just took his first knee... and did it perfectly!
