Forget protecting and serving; were all potential bad guys in the eyes of the law that looks to jail us, fine us, and seize our property for profit. Retired LAPD Deputy Chief of Police Stephen Downing told FoxNews Latino, The federal government has turned policing into policing for profit.
Cops are tracking down cash, rather than crime. Downing told Fox that departments now direct police assets to generate cash, instead of investigating murders and rapes. And there are plenty of abstruse laws to trip up even the most careful citizen. The American Bar Association task force reported that the body of federal criminal law is so large that there is no conveniently accessible, complete list of federal crimes.
Columbia law professor John Coffee estimates the federal government has the criminal process at its disposal to enforce as many as 300,000 federal regulations. In his introduction to One Nation Under Arrest, Edwin Meese III writes, It is only a slight exaggeration to say that potentially everything you do each day is subject to criminal law: driving, shopping, gardening, and even, yes, eating.

And the Libs want MORE laws.....
Damned fools....
Not to mention the contracts States are signing with private prison companies that require a certain level of cell “occupancy”.
The lawyers in government are simply making criminals out of the entire population. Hell, to law enforcement, the lawyers, and the judges, it is a never ending source of funds with which to line their pockets. We have to ask ourselves, who are the real criminals.
Thanks much for the link. He expresses a lot of my thoughts much better than I could.
Most excellent quote.
When the Mafia does it, it is called a protection racket.
Chilling quotes.
A tactic. Create laws that are so obscure that many innocent people fall into a trap. Prosecute innocent people, so as to get the arrest numbers up and proclaim that they are fighting crime.
Leave the violent career criminals alone - they have good lawyers, are largely minorities, and fight back.
All this is designed to beat the folks into submission and into sheep.
A few police forces in small towns are using a federal drug law to fund themselves by seizing money from travelers on the interstate highways. Here’s how it works.
The officer stops someone on the highway under some pretext. He then gets the driver to let him search the car and/or person. If any amount of money is found which the officer “thinks” could be ‘drug money’, he seizes it and creates a criminal case of (blank city name) vs. X amount of dollars.
One police force in a small town near the Texas/Loisiana border preyed on folks going to the nearby racetrack/and casinos in Louisiana with cash in their pockets.
The driver now has to come to court to prove how he got the money before a court judge of the small town.
Federal fascists can’t go after your cash if they’re hanging from lampposts.
What you described is accurate, but it wouldn’t happen if the people in that county elected a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff.
What can a constitutional sheriff do?
1. Investigate leftists.
2. Arrest and throw leftists in jail.
3. Buy surplus military equipment.
4. Muster an armed 2,000 man deputy auxiliary force for “emergencies.”
5. Run abusive cops out of the county.
6. Arrest police chiefs, appointed by leftist mayors, for violating the civil rights of citizens, which includes the 2nd amendment.
Gee, sergeantdave, how do you know that? Because I have a constitutional sheriff in my county. All of the above has transpired.
Get working, people, and elect a constitutional sheriff in your neighborhood. Semper fi.
The problem is that most of these brigands in uniform probably consider themselves ultra conservative and feel they are fighting against a corrupt society with these tactics.
And the money often goes for the black suburban tactical vehicles and military equipment you think is needed.
Are were you being sarcastic?
I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
