When I played sports in High School I could eat two big Macs a large chocolate shake every day, and I wouldn’t gain an ounce.
Now I so much as look at a Big Mac and my waist size goes up.
What a drag it is getting old.
Yeah. That’s one of the big reasons athletes gain weight when they retire, they drop a good 5 to 10 thousand calories from their daily burn and trying to eat 75% less is pretty difficult. Plus of course slowing metabolism.
I ran Xcountry in highschool. Would have a Big Mac, large fries and large Coke everyday after practice. This was before supersizing (a large Coke back then is a medium one today) and was usually still hungry. So started adding on a 20-piece chicken mcnugget.
Then go home and have a pint of Haagen Das Chocolate Chocolate chip.
Still don’t know how my parents afforded me, and I’m dreading ( my wallet is positively terrified tho) having a teenage boy in the house in a few years.
