Ebola: Patrick Sawyer Escaped Quarantine
ThisDay (Nigerian paper of record) ^ | 08/08/2014 | Adeola Akinremi, Chiemelie Ezeobi , Damilola Oyedele and Paul Obi

It has been revealed that the Liberian, Mr. Patrick Sawyer, who travelled to Lagos from Monrovia and became Nigeria’s index case for the Ebola virus was actually under surveillance by the Liberian health authorities, even though he still managed to board a flight to travel. (...)

Speaking with journalists at the end of the briefing, Mcintosh said: “Because he had contact with somebody who died from Ebola, he was quarantined in his own country but he evaded the quarantine and came to Nigeria.” (...)

Video Shows Sawyer was Very Ill

It has also emerged that Sawyer looked “terribly ill” and might have known he was infected with the virus before travelling to Nigeria, the Liberian media has reported.

According to a review of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) images at the James Spriggs Payne’s Airport, Monrovia, by Liberian newspaper, The New Dawn, Sawyer, also a naturalised American, looked terribly ill and deliberately avoided contact with people just before boarding the Asky Airline flight that brought him to Lagos.

Describing his behaviour as “strange”, the The New Dawn said Sawyer bore a “sad countenance” like he was troubled and sat alone avoiding bodily contact with other passengers who came close to him at the boarding gate of the James Sprigg Payne’s Airport as he awaited his flight to Lagos.

“His strange behaviour and frequent movement up and down as he eagerly awaited his Asky flight had prompted the security camera operator to focus on him. In the video, Patrick could be seen avoiding physical contact with airport employees and other passengers during the check-in process,” the newspaper wrote.

Airport video footage, according to the report, also showed Sawyer lying flat on his stomach on the floor in the corridor of the airport and seemed to be in “excruciating pain.”

The footage showed Sawyer preventing people from touching him. According to the The New Dawn reporter who reviewed the video, he even snubbed an immigration officer who initiated a friendly gesture of a handshake moments before he boarded the airplane. FrontPage Africa, another Liberian newspaper, also reported that Sawyer, who was believed to have been infected by his sister, told its reporter shortly before he travelled to Nigeria that he had gone in search of his sister’s husband who ran away after she tested positive to Ebola.

The paper said Sawyer vomited a few times among his friends in Liberia just before heading to the airport and also on the plane. FrontPage Africa’s publisher, Rodney Sieh, later told online news medium, Premium Times by telephone that his paper’s extensive reporting on the matter showed clearly that Sawyer knew he had contracted the Ebola virus before travelling to Nigeria.

“He definitely knew he was sick and it was curious that he still decided to travel,” Sieh said. “His sister had died from the virus and he most likely had contact with her.”

According to FrontPage Africa, after Sawyer became ill on the airplane, he denied to First Consultants’ personnel that he had contact with anyone infected with Ebola despite repeated inquiries after initial tests for Malaria and HIV were negative.

The newspaper said Sawyer however flew into a rage and behaved in a disruptive manner at First Consultants after he was told he had tested positive for Ebola.

It is exactly this level of ‘SECURITY’ in Africa that troubles the citizens of the USA & other countries around the world.

They let another troublemaker escape about 53 years ago when his mother took him from the Mombassa hospital.

Here's my problem with the whole "you fools don't need to worry about Ebola" line of garbage.

There are terrorists out there who are willing to put a bomb under their clothes or inside their turbans and blow themselves up. With our open borders to the south, what's to stop a guy from intentionally contracting Ebola (from what I understand, it takes 3 weeks to incubate).....travel to Mexico, walk across our border and then start having sex with as many women as he can, spit into as many grocery store lettuce/vegetable areas and generally try to exchange as much body fluid as possible. They're willing to do all sorts of other things in the name of terror, why not this?

What am I missing?

Pretty sure most of America will be super pissed off if that kind of thing happened.

This guy (Patrick Sawyer) pulled down his pants and urinated all over the medical staff when they told him he had Ebola. He repeatedly acted out violently against them. He should have been strapped down and prevented from spitting.

Personally I think they plugged him. The cremation was to hide the giant gaping hole in his head. YMMV.

Well that’s a novel idea..

Did you come up with that all by yourself?

Or did you happen to read some ancient history when they would put plague victims on catapults and launch them over the city walls, thousands of years ago.

Sure it’s possible...nearly everything is possible.

A person calling himself Abel left this comment on the Nigerian newspaper’s website concerning the Ebola outbreak.

“Why did it start in Liberia and how did it spread?

Well, for those who don’t know. It started in the US hospital in sierra Leone known for research in bio weapon. You may also want to ask the question “why is it located in Sierra Leone”..hahhaha. Well, if you are an African, you probably know how Africans are. OK, i will paste some reference here.

“Sierra Leone recently kicked out all US Ebola researchers from Tulane University and the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), a known center for biowar research headquartered at Fort Detrick, Maryland. Just prior to that event two weeks ago after three nurses died from the viral hemorrhagic fever, Sierra Leone nurses working in heavily infested Kenema district actually went on strike accusing the government’s Ministry of Health and Sanitation of mishandling the pandemic that is rapidly spreading.

They complained that the medical workers caring for the ill are not properly protected and are suspicious that the American biowarfare team may be responsible for the recent surge in deaths. The Sierra Leone government then ordered the US bioweapons lab at Kenema to be moved due to the mounting anger of the local population blaming the Americans for infecting their citizens through their Ebola testing. Posted on the health ministry’s Facebook page is the conclusion that the diagnostic kits the US researchers have been using are fake and producing false results. It legitimately asks, “Have Tulane researchers done something to endanger public health?” Meanwhile, more people are becoming infected and dying there in that Sierra Leone district hospital than any other place on the planet.

Compounding the mystery, US mainstream media reported that the Sierra Leone leading doctor died from Ebola but the Minister of Health denied that claim. WHO is believed to be taking advantage of the crisis in medical services with pressure to deploy UN security forces in order to launch a massive vaccination (and possible infection) and quarantine campaign. In response, 700 soldiers from the Sierra Leone army have been deployed setting up roadblocks to help quarantine citizens, permitting only health personnel into the hardest hit areas. Troops in Liberia have also been sent to help contain the outbreak there.

The Minister also stated that all new confirmed cases will be admitted and treated at Kailahun Hospital, not trusting what has been occurring with the presence of the US biowarfare researchers at Kenema where rates of confirmed diagnosis have soared recently. Finally the Sierra Leone government is also demanding that the CDC send the biowar lab results to the African government for analysis, implicating that the US research group may be under investigation.”

Conclusion, The US is responsible for the outbreak of Ebola Virus in Africa. Please don’t believe me , do a hard research for yourself .”

People on FR have been wondering when the US was going to be blamed for the Ebola outbreak like they were blamed for infecting Africans with the AIDS virus.

Just thought I would let you know that the US is already getting blamed. Did you find the rational of “ABEL” asinine or the fact that I was making people aware of his comments asinine?

I don’t put much stock in comments from a panic stricken area that is pretty much under martial law right now and losing control. But I do have a interest in comments from this side of the pond.

You have taken and distorted snippets of what are actually completely explainable facts, like the fact that we have medical laboratories in the region that are run by the DOD through the US Army and Navy who have been conducting research on Ebola and other communicable diseases in West Africa for many years now, and attributed a illegitimate or dubious reason for their existence.

So typical this is, regarding rumor mongering internet spawned conspiracy adherents, that I don’t know if I should upchuck or just laugh may ass off.

I would post a bunch of links about what we are doing over there, where these facilities are and who is involved in them along with their true purposes, but like you said in your post, “do your own research”.

Yep.

I have seen these types of comments from Africans (and even some Americans, fanning the flames) left on these African news sites as well.

Often they start with how AIDS was created in a lab to kill Africans. With their culture steeped in superstition, this is not surprising. This is one of the reasons they haven’t been able to contain it in some areas. The local rumors start about how the US is infecting them at these treatment centers, so they refuse to bring in their infected relatives—or even seek treatment themselves. :^(

We do have a USAMRIID lab in that region.

We have many elites who have stated publically that there are ‘too many Africans’.

Even African peasants can afford that tinfoil.

Not saying I believe it mind you. But the first two statements are easily verifiable. And the rumor mill in the affect countries is doing what rumor mills do.

Check out a YouTube clip about “Monkey Island” (or something like that) in Liberia; it is a place where they released lab chimps rather than destroy them (as the humane thing; the rationale being that chimps can’t swim, so they couldn’t get off the island).

Absolutely creepy, and done by Westerners; there is nothing to prevent people from accessing the animals. In a James Bond movie, it would be a source of bio-weapons for “Doctor Evil” type.

Just thought this might clear up Africans’ paranoia about the Ebola thing.
