The GOP-led House Select Committee on the Benghazi terror attack shows no sign of backing down despite a report from another congressional panel that, according to a top Democrat, found no intelligence failures around the deadly 2012 assault.
"There is more work to be done and more to be investigated," a spokeswoman for House Select Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy told CNN on Wednesday.
Shortly before beginning its August recess, the House Intelligence Committee, also led by Republicans, approved its report on the militant attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in eastern Libya that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
"Our investigation found the intelligence community warned about an increased threat environment, but did not have specific tactical warning of an attack before it happened," Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, the senior Democrat on the intelligence panel, said in a statement after its vote.
Ruppersberger said the finding is "consistent with testimony that the attacks appeared to be opportunistic."

Why wasn't Hillary interviewed for the ARB report on Bengahzi???
Where did Qadaffi’s money go? I think that’s why Benghazi happened. Hillary and Obama overthrew Qadaffi and then grabbed his fortune. The Libyans went looking for Qadaffi’s wealth and found that Hillary and Obama had taken it, so they hit us in Benghazi.
They were giving MANPADS to OUR ENEMIES!!! And Mike Rogers MUST KNOW THAT....he’s so compromised he had to quit Congress.
Wrongo.
The only issue that is dead is Obama/Clinton/Rice/Carney’s excuses that the youtube video was to blame in a spontaneous and not pre-planned attack on our diplomatic facility.

In court papers filed Tuesday, federal prosecutors said Abu Khattala organized the attacks at a U.S. diplomatic mission and a nearby CIA annex out of a sense of ideological fervor. In the days before the attacks, he voiced concern and opposition to the presence of an American facility in Benghazi, prosecutors wrote.
Last year, prosecutors said, Abu Khattala expressed anger that U.S. forces captured Nazih Abdul-Hamed al-Ruqai, also known as Anas al-Libi, in Tripoli in connection with the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. According to prosecutors, he then took steps to retaliate.
Is this the same panel that didn’t even interview Hillary?
