The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday ramped up its response to the expanding Ebola outbreak, a move that frees up hundreds of employees and signals the agency sees the health emergency as a potentially long and serious one.
The CDC’s “level 1 activation” is reserved for the most serious public health emergencies, and the agency said the move was appropriate considering the outbreak’s “potential to affect many lives.” The CDC took a similar move in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and again in 2009 during the bird-flu threat.

Hmmm. I wonder if this Ebola thing is a cover up for CDC’s “level 1 activation” due to the diseases being brought across the border with Barry’s Kids. I don’t think this is a coincidence.
We have plenty of military in Africa, they can become infected, as can any other American.
Christian missionaries nor any other American travels in Africa with an agreement that a monster like you will condemn them to death if they get ill.
Your panic and hysteria, and anti-Christian bias is disturbing, and frankly your hysteria about two people being treated at the very clinic that was built to treat CDC people for this very thing is a sign of fear out of control, especially since you would have no problem with it if they were two GIs.
I would not make too much of the term “Grave”.
Anyone who get’s Ebola is in “grave” condition. No matter how they are presenting at the moment.
I think the hoopla over the term is largely a American issue and not any other country. Americans seem to be having a “bloody good” time with it.
Good point and pretty typical of how they operate.
They haven’t brought Ebola “to America”, for one thing labs in America and Canada already have Ebola, and have for years, they infect animals with it for research.
You really seem to believe that those two patients will decide our future with Ebola, that it will either escape or remain in isolation there, and that is what the threat to America is from Ebola, not other people, not strangers, travelers, terrorists, illegals, only those two being treated in the best Ebola clinic in the world.
Didn’t Franklin Graham’s missionary organization bring them home for treatment?
I doubt the government ordered them to come home for medical treatment.
Why?
Well, having a healthy distrust of our government based on a history of lying to us it just seems somewhat strange that he went from grave to walking himself in within a couple days.
Then he is brought here first before they lady who then is wheeled in.
I think it’s possibly better to approach this discussion as we would any issue that involves the government although that is difficult when good Americans are ill.

Well it is Franklin Graham, the missionaries and their organization Samaritan’s Purse that this is all about, so if it isn’t hem, then it isn’t anyone else.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
