Russia to retaliate with boots on the ground and new economic sanctions on U.S.

For more than four months Russia, and its leader Vladimir Putin, have watched patiently, and in some cases with humor, as the United States implemented negligible economic sanctions against the Eurasian power in response for their support of rebels involved in the Ukrainian conflict. However, Putin's days of sitting idly by may be over as on Aug. 5 the Russian President ordered a two-pronged attack against the U.S., Ukraine, and any European ally who chooses to become involved by mustering troops and munitions on the Ukrainian border, and issuing economic sanctions of their own that will be much stronger and more consequential to the U.S. than what President Obama has implemented so far.

Just yesterday, Mykhailo Koval, deputy head of Ukraine’s National Defense and Security Council, announced that Russia had moved upwards of 33000 troops and 160 tanks to the Eastern border and was fully preparing for an offensive assault in the near future in support of Russian rebels fighting in the region. In addition to this, part of Russia's new sanctions against the West will hit soundly in the chest of Washington's policies for the Middle East by securing a new oil and trade agreement with Iran, leaving the U.S. little choice but to pull back from their attempts to intimidate the Middle Eastern power since they are no longer isolated without allies.

An underlying premise is that Obama would be concerned about economic consequences to the US; I doubt it or even worse, would welcome them as a cover for what he is already doing to the US economy.

It looks to me that the author is a Ron Paul/ Lew Rockwell propagandist and a Putin admirer.

It would have been HELPFUL to have Russia on our side, but then the President wouldn’t be able to shove Central America and Obamacare out of the headlines.

Oh well...

IIRC, the US and other countries has lifted the sanctions on Iran...as a good faith gesture that Iran will halt their nuke program. Iran is laughing.

Russia on our side? Which side is that? Not freedom-loving Americans for sure.

I don't know much about the business aspects of this situation but IMHO (in my humble opinion) Putin has blown this militarily. He could have gone in a long time ago and saved alot of carnage. We'll see how history records these events.

Putin's commitment to tyranny and the rule of gangsters is going to be put to the test. Ukraine will pay the price initially. For months, Putin's waged an illegal and undeclared war. We will likely soon Russian troops attacking Ukraine in undeniable ways. Having failed to win the war against Ukraine with his proxies, Putin will force his conscripts to die for his vainglory. Putinistas will cheer the slaughter, no doubt.

The Kiev in crowd will party night and day if they're not outright dancing in the streets.

IMHO Russia actually invading and preferably taking over a large swath of the Southeast has been the goal and best of all possible solutions from the point of view of the Coup government since the day the slid into office by lying about their intention to abide by the power sharing agreement they signed onto. It's obviously the one preferred by the IMF as well since they demanded Kiev reassert authority over the Southeast immediately after Candyman said he planned to negotiate leading to Candyman getting tough and announcing the "ATO" within the next day or two.

Think about it. The US has an excuse to pour money on Ukraine without any prospect of repayment (the perfect situation for the thieves in Kiev who are anxious to move from Pony League thieving to the Bigs of the EU where they can steal like the pros in DC and Brussels), the EU can use defense as an excuse to go off budget or over budget with a lot of what they promised Ukraine rather than having to deal with the consequences of their alligator mouths having overloading their rat's butts, and most importantly of all, the democrat party will benefit in the coming mid-terms from now aging Cold Warriors swooning over His Majesty King Barry being tough against the Evil Empire.

Said swooners will stay home or even quietly vote for "their democrat" who is "tough on Russia" just like their Mommies and Daddies did for seventy years laying the groundwork for the enthronement of His Majesty King Barry. Obvious enthronement by the same party that was still moaning about "Presidential over reach" a decade later related to their own Harry Truman forcing an end to a national Steel Strike due to his concerns about supplying what we needed for the Korean War (that's the "Korean Conflict" for the flawed memories of some Cold Warriors among us).

An Evil Empire now reduced to holding it's hat in it's hand and doing or trying to do everything the EU asked of it (actually check the requests and responses on a time line instead of regurgitating BS and you'll realize that) but still being smacked around until they finally shaped up and did what was expected of them; behaved like "the bad guys". "Bad Guys" His Majesty King Barry so desperately needs to keep attention off of his ongoing policy of supporting those who are butchering Christians by the thousands across half the planet then creating, "the most beautiful sound in the world" as they bow blood soaked head and hands to their Satanic substitute for God Almighty.

And so, democrats will do surprisingly well in some states this fall, the Republicans may well not get control of the Senate, and one more time a segment of the population dominated by Baby Boomers will bemoan the state of the nation while handing the democrat party yet another copy of the Constitution to wipe their butts on.

With a mighty, "Hi Oh, Reggie", His Majesty is rides his trusty steed off into the sunset and all is well thanks to the Silver Bullet of Honest Media hitting the well trained dupes addicted to Democrat Media Misdirection Baby Food (now available in two new nostalgic flavors !! "Banana Republic" Banana & "Commie Blood Red" Cherry) having their gun shot out of their hand at just the right moment.

JMHO, and yeah, my DI told me what opinions are like and that everyone has one. Anyone who doesn't agree just wait and see all the goodies and "incentives" lavished on "the evil Putin" when it's time for the next Reset with Russia.

...as the United States implemented negligible economic sanctions...

Just yesterday, the news was Comrade Putin raided private pensions because of the effect of sanctions.

Or he needs to buy new shirts. His seem to go missing frequently.

Russia on our side? Russia wants to destroy our side, in case you haven't been paying attention.
