In Campbell, Wisconsin, political retaliation has sunk to a new low.
Police Chief Tim Kelemen just closed a plea deal for using local Tea Party leader Greg Luces personal information to sign him up for gay dating websites, pornography websites, and the icing on the cake HealthCare.gov.
These actions could fall under the definition of identity theft, which carries serious penalties. Depending on the severity, the fraudulent use of anothers identifying information could earn up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Why did the police chief flagrantly break the publics trust? Over a political disagreement.
Kelemen and Luce had ongoing conflict about the Tea Partys rights to hold signs on an interstate overpass bridge. The police department ordered members to stop, citing safety concerns, but the activists held the signs to be an exercise of free speech. Kelemen was disturbed by a flood of calls and emails to the police department by Tea Party supporters, so he attacked Kelemen where it would hurt his reputation.
As punishment for his bizarre act of vengeance, Kelemen received one misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a computerized communication system. If he serves 40 hours of community service and sees a mental-health counselor, the charges will be dismissed in two years....

This cop needs to be in prison in the general population with “ex cop” stenciled on his fatigues. He will learn about gay porn you betcha
And how about the real charge that should have been brought; misconduct in public office? Oh, and I wonder if he was chasing off the union goons from those bridges during the Act 10 nightmare.
That’s not the first time the police chief had visited gay websites if you get my meaning.
You got that right.
I’m not surprised that the cop knew the URLs for all those pervert sites.
What an outrageous sentence. I certainly hope Luce sues this “officer of the law” in civil court.
” If he serves 40 hours of community service and sees a mental-health counselor, the charges will be dismissed in two years.”
Hmmm....mental-health counseling....
Does that mean he can’t carry a gun?
Yep. We KNOW how he knew where the websites were.
I hope he is sued in a civil court along with the city. It’s so obvious this guy should not be a cop. Lots of cops should not be cops. They’re all dog killers in training. And it’s only a matter of time before they go way beyond dogs.
Comforting to see that there are police departments being run by emotionally arrested 13-year olds.
Sign him up for nambla.
Given that there’s a conviction, Luce should be able to sue the guy into oblivion on a whole host of civil charges.
See how the Chief likes having his savings confiscated, his wages and pension garnished for the rest of his life.
Affirmative. Contact bearing 340°.
Indeed. How did he even know where to go to do this?
I wouldn’t know and I don’t want to know.
At least they get home safe. < /sarc >

Go for the max! I hope the county prosecutor is a conservative and makes an example of the ass-hat police chief.
You know.... it is kinda funny. I mean in the old days to “get even with someone”.... you called and had a pizza delivered to their house. Its a different world now.... :)
Did he lose all the emails and the computer hard drive too?
