On Wednesday, about 200 South Koreans attached thousands of chocolate snacks to 50 giant balloons and released into North Korea after Pyongyang reportedly banned the coveted treats from the country earlier this month. The pies, which have become popular among hungry North Koreans, are considered as a symbol of capitalism and represent a cultural impact that might encourage an uprising.
“We will continue to send Choco Pie by balloons because it is still one of the most favorite foodstuffs in North Korea,” said Choo Sun-Hee, one of the organisers of Wednesday’s balloon launch.
In response to the activity, Pyongyang has pressed Seoul to stop their people and threatened to shell the launch sites.

The Norks will believe that their pudgy leader supplied them with pies. Like that documentary, “Inside North Korea” when those American doctors went into NK to treat cataracts and such. All of the recipients of medical attention then praised Kim-Jong Il to the skies.
I still have my silly ass NORK Dear Leader pen and tie set they floated over to try to get us and/or the ROK soldiers to defect to N Korea.

North Korea banned Choco-Pies as gifts to NK workers from the Kaesong industrial zone. Instead they will now get more normal foodstuffs. (probably confiscated as soon as they leave)

People caught looking at fliers from SK have been executed in front of their extended families, who were then all sent to the concentration camps.
NK actually produces a few brands of soda, I read online somewhere that they are terrible.
I don't think those S-Koreans have any idea about NK. Those bags of pies better all have the
same number of pies in them because when the guards come and count them and one is short,
an entire village will be punished until someone takes the fall. And after that someone takes the fall
they'll arrest the whole family and feed them to the dogs as punishment while the traitor
who ate the Leaders pie is forced to release the dogs and watch.
There is no good intention here. Only stupidity.

Choco Pies could stop any invasion the Norks launch. It will be very hard to prevent the Nork army from looting their way south, so leave them things like Choco Pies to steal and send home. Soon the supply lines will be choked by trucks heading north with stuff left to be looted.
If that happens, don't hold your breath waiting for UN wailing about "proportionality".
