“It is not a potential of Ebola spreading widely in the U.S.,” director Thomas Friedman told reporters on a conference call Thursday. “That is not in the cards.”

Arrogant asshat government bureaucrat. I'm sure there were the same kind of people telling the President back before 9/11/2001 "there's no problem with terrorists here."

His agency has been more concerned with the diseases of handguns, spousal abuse, racism, and bias against Islam - whatever than it has been actually living up to its name.

If you like your ebola, you can keep it.

Even one victim of his stupidity is way too much. Send him back to Africa.

Untrue. I'm 'eyes on the ground' there. I was stunned and pleasantly surprised when, after Obama broke the law AGAIN and EO'd the CDC to write an anti-gun report, defied him and stuck to science. They concluded that suicides with guns were a large portion of deaths, that the 'youths' killed by guns were mostly aged 17-26, and that there were many MANY legitimate defensive uses of guns. I was very proud of them.

Yes, they do have a spousal-abuse team. I suppose that makes sense.

They have utterly no teams or assignments around the topics of racism or Islamic stuff.

Finally, and as a neat aside, they are one of the few Fed Agencies WITHOUT a SWAT team.
