Thursday on MSNBC's "Now with Alex Warner," Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) blasted Republican leadership for letting Speaker Cruz "call the shots," which caused a delay of the August recess, as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) battled over the bills details.
Van Hollen said, It was Senator Cruz calling the shots, and thats why people around here are calling him Speaker Cruz today." He added, "It means when Speaker Boehner says hes going to get something done from now on, hed better be checking with Senator Cruz to see if hes gonna get the votes because clearly the new leadership team isnt up to the task.

Someone tell the GOPe that if your political enemies hate what you’re doing it’s probably the right thing. If your political enemies love what you’re doing they are probably not your political enemies and your base will reject you.

If Ted had control over both House as Speaker and Senate as a to-be-feared outspoken leader, I consider that has the better outcome.

Yep! As far as I know, and please anyone correct me, you don’t even have to be a member of Congress to be Speaker.
Absolutely nothing! But, we have to wait 'til 2016. He can become Speaker now!
