Boehner Tries To Resuscitate Dying Border Bill

In the Speaker's lobby just off the House floor, members of Congress were full of recriminations over how the border bill had just died -- until it sprang back to life.
House leadership has announced a 3pm special conference meeting to discuss the issue and raised the possibility of additional votes before the House departs for summer recess.
The change is an abrupt shift from a decision to pull the bill and leave without a vote on it at all. According to Republicans familiar with the matter, the decision prompted a sudden and fierce backlash against Speaker John Boehner from rank-and-file members who wanted to be able to tout passage of the bill to constituents over the summer break.
In particular, members said, the House shouldn't leave without even taking a vote -- raising the prospect that the measure may come to the floor, only to be defeated as House leaders knew it would be hours earlier.

The GOP represents the Chamber of Amnesty, not the republicans base.

Look at Drudge. Shows J. Boehner pushing his nose down into a kleenex. Maybe he has a cold. Matt is calling it a “Fiasco”.

Time to demand for Boehners resignation. Hes been acting like a complete incompetent and is no match for Obama and the leftist thugs.I hate to continue to jump on a fellow Ohioan; but I cannot argue with you.
What particularly disgusts me, as one who understands the techniques of effective debate, is that anyone, remotely competent in debate, could absolutely destroy those thugs in an actual verbal confrontation. The issues, here, as those with not funding Obamacare, require proper presentation--that means a proper stacking of the elemental points;--but properly presented, our position would be virtually unanswerable.

When the whole world is laughing at the ineffectiveness of Obama when dealing with the leaders of other countries, Boehner being outflanked by him is unforgivable.

Yes, definitely. But, I’m asking which committee members - like the Kay Granger committee.
I just called her office and called her out for the sellout RINO she is - working with Bonehead’s Amnesty asst Rebecca Tallent.
I’m also calling EVERY TEA Rep I can and telling them to FIRE BOEHNER!!!

Having a vote to remove blank check Boehner as the Speaker would probably be the best thing republicans can do to even just start to put an end to funding of this totalitarian regime.

Why not do it before Boehner leaves on his 5 Week Vacation tomorrow?

Boehner needs to be replaced as Speaker. This bill was total crap and we should be holding our Representatives feet to the fire during the recess. What needs to be done is first close the border TIGHTLY. Second quick deportation of anyone crossing including these kids. There should absolutely be NO discussion of amnesty, work permits or immigration until the border is sealed and these kids are sent packing.
