WASHINGTON The State Department has endorsed the broad conclusions of a harshly critical Senate report on the CIA's interrogation and detention practices after the 9/11 attacks, a report that accuses the agency of brutally treating terror suspects and misleading Congress, according to a White House document. "This report tells a story of which no American is proud," says the four-page White House document, which contains the State Department's preliminary proposed talking points in response to the classified Senate report, a summary of which is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Isn't it clear that the CIA engaged in torture as defined in the Torture Convention? - Question in White House document "But it is also part of another story of which we can be proud," adds the document, which was circulating this week among White House officials and which the White House accidentally emailed to an Associated Press reporter. "America's democratic system worked just as it was designed to work in bringing an end to actions inconsistent with our democratic values." It's not clear who wrote the document or how influential it will be in tailoring the Obama administration's ultimate response to an investigation that has been the subject of bitter disputes. It is common practice for the White House to solicit talking points from key agencies involved in responding to a major news event, which the release of the Senate report will be.

... but we'll use it to tear down the country as much as possible anyway...
No American is proud of the Snake Dept.
BLUF: If the CIA had to beat the $hit out of a few dip $hit Jihadi’s...my heart bleeds, waaaa F’n waaaaa.
Read Allen West’s book — We need more men like him in charge. I gurandamntee you that Jihadi’ s would think twice about F’n with America again.
Please, America, end this nightmare known as the odumbo administration as soon as possible and let’s get back on the right track of defending “American” freedom and democracy at home and around the world.
This whole limp wristed pants wetting approach to diplomacy isn’t working and everyone, and do mean everyone knows it. Some just won’t admit it.
They don't speak for me. I think there are occasions, where we just need to beat knobs on someone's head, to get the right information out of them.
There are lots of things you don’t and probably shouldn’t be proud of that are necessary to our survival as a country. I’m glad somebody has the guts to do the dirty work.
I’m also grateful that somebody butchers my beef and makes it into hamburger. Thank you.
So john Kerry’s state dept is against taking tough action.
No surprise.this is the guy who continues to think talking to Iran is going to turn the tide.
That’s a good point.
The State Dept. doesn’t speak for me either. The fact that they are going back to 2001, and blaming the CIA, makes me believe that the CIA is well intentioned.
I do want to know why all this Afghan heroin is flooding world markets, and why the Taliban got modern US missiles.

Samuel Hersch, famed author, did a good job of connecting the dots of Obama’s illegal use of the US military to go to war in Lybia, Syria, and Pakistan. The CIA was a part of that.

I’m definitely not proud...they sould have sweated them for intel and then made them disappear. Instead, our troops will die unneccessarily to take them down after they’re released. It’s us or them...
Hahaha
Its absolutely amazing that CIA personnel allow the State Department spokeskanks and leadership to deride their agency with impunity. What the hell has happened with people that they refuse to even stand up for themselves any more? Can’t believe the CIA doesn’t have the information and means to completely destroy this Marxist POS and the Hildabeast, yet they do nothing... just weird.
Thank you. I agree.
I believe if we knew the authors of the report we would know them to be lefties of the worst sort.
The CIA is and has always been filled with liberals. I don’t know why they are perceived as conservative other than that they are supposed to be about protecting America an thus supposedly Patriotic and also conservative.
What a load of drek, as though the state department
has anything to be proud of in the last five and a half
years.
