Two members of Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg's staff will provide free legal aid to undocumented immigrant children from Central America who have found themselves in Southern California with no parents or family members.

Steinberg announced Wednesday that his policy director, Anthony Williams, and senior policy consultant, Margie Estrada, will participate in the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Legal Assistant Project as a part of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Southern California Chapter "These children face a daunting immigration process in a foreign legal system without any legal representation. A kid is a kid, and should be shown compassion regardless of where they were born," Steinberg, a Sacramento Democrat, said in a statement Wednesday.

"I'm exceptionally grateful to my team and all other volunteering ...

WOW! That is a great idea. Legal representation is a human right and should be free for everyone. Not paid by government. Just free. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner.

Guess these politicians no longer represent US citizens.
Wonder how much Latin American countries are paying them for their service.

Lock-stepping Steinberg is prostrate in obeisance to Obama---his lips pressed firmly to the WH behind. Taxpayers oughta be "compassionate" and send him a case of Chap-stix (/snix).

==============================================

THE FACTS ARE THESE: every lawyer is an officer of the court, and should know that the US justice system is not amenable to dispensing justice to litigants w/ "unclean hands"---a legal term meaning those who have committed crimes.

Crimes at the border probably include (1) falsifying official documents, (2) giving false info to US authorities, (3) colluding w/ criminal drug cartels to violate US borders...perhaps aiding and abetting by carrying drugs into the US.......and so on.

Any lawyer who gives legal advice to illegals should be reported t the state bar association for eventual disbarment.....and should have his/her license to practice law challenged.

Cong Louie Gohmert (Rep-Tx)--- a former judge --- made a stunning observation at the House hearing on immigration Tuesday.

The border swarm assert they are desperate to escape Central American drug violence.....so why are these impoverished hordes paying drug cartels $6000 to get them over the border?

This is not the behavior of someone in mortal fear, "forced" to escape to the US for protection.

====================================================

More likely, the swarm is in collusion w/ the cartels. Better check those backpacks.

THIS JUST IN The UN underlines Obama's refugee plan---will broadly designate illegal aliens at our borders, including MS-13 members from Central America, as “refugees.”

So, Mr Steinberg, are violent gang members roaming the streets in your towns?

========================================================

REFERENCE Violent transnational gangs 'recruiting unaccompanied minors at Border Security facilities'
Daily Mail UK ^ | July 27, 2014 | Daily Mail / FR Posted by COUNTrecount

Members of some of the United States' most notorious street gangs have infiltrated shelters housing illegal immigrant minors from Central America and are recruiting them, say Homeland Security sources. An estimated 57,000 minors from Central America have flooded across the border from Mexico to the U.S. in recent months, and gang leaders are reportedly filling their ranks from among them.

Transnational gangs such as the Mara Salvatruca, also known as MS-13, and the 18th Street gang are using established juvenile members from Central America to cross the border and recruit other children to the cartels, say sources. Recruiting drive:

There are reports that gangs are trying to recruit young immigrants from Border Protection facilities where they're being held According to Fox News, Border Control agents have witnessed gang members using a Red Cross phone bank at the facility at Nogales, Arizona, to 'recruit, enlist and pressure' other minors into crossing the border. Shawn Moran, vice president of the National Border Control Patrol Council, a union which represents border agents, says agents have witnessed the recruiting process.

The Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement said earlier this week that they have no knowledge or evidence that gangs are recruiting immigrant minors. (Excerpt) Read more at dailymail.co.uk ...

================================================

Interesting exchanges on this topic at Tuesday's House hearing on immigration.

<><> Patriot Cong Randy Forbes said Americans need to know if violent gang members are walking their streets. Forbes asked UCIS--a DHS agency--headed by Obama appointee Leon Rodrigues---whether the agency asked applicants about gang membership---and when they invariably reply no, how does the agency know whether it's true or not?

The calculated Rodriguez would not reveal information---Forbes insisted on knowing "do you even ask them if they're gang members."

<><> Even more interesting was watching brilliant Cong Louie Gohmert (Rep-Tx) set the trap for the oily Rodriguez. Former judge Gohmert's brilliant circumlocution was awesome. He nailed the mealy-mouth Gonzalez to the wall.

CONG GOHMERT: WRT drug cartels paid $6000 to "guide" the hordes over the border---"Would you, as a former prosecutor, call them criminals?," he nonchalantly asked Gonzales.

The smirking Gonzales stepped headlong into the trap as Cong Gohmert casually hoisted him on his own petard.....making the point that if the hordes were coming here to escape drug cartels, why is it they consort w/ the criminals, and pay the violent breed to get over the border?

who have found themselves in Southern California with no parents or family members

So, they suddenly just found themselves in Southern California, huh.

How exactly does that work?

Must be some strange magic going on...

The bizarre appearing act of illegal aliens all of sudden showing up in our country.
Been happening for 50 years plus. Somehow it’s our fault too!

Wish I had the curing spell for it too. Maybe we could make them re-appear back home?
