Just watched the CDC genius on TV stating that he was ordering doctors to keep an eye out for Ebola stricken patients! Yes, this is the same genius that heads the organization that loses or misplaces vials of deadly viruses.
He probably went to some small town community college that didn’t teach “quarantine” as part of the course to become a MD or VET.
He’s quarantining himself in Canada? Why didn’t he think to do that in LIBERIA???!!!
obama wants this crises to give cover to start his purging. and pop martial law in before the elections in which they would be getting hammered.
Do you honestly believe that the Guy volunteered to go into quarantine?
He is a Doctor who had to realize that he was infectious when he got on the damn plane to get to the airport that would take him back to Canada.
God only knows how many folks have now been exposed .

I think (and hope!) that you may be making a leap there. I don’t know that it is true that he has, or even was exposed to Ebola. I mean physically exposed, himself, obviously he was around people who had it. My understanding is you need to have direct fluid to fluid contact, it’s not spread via air or anything like that.
I’m thinking this guy was back in Canada and then learned that his co-worker had gotten sick. At that point he goes into quarantine.
If that is NOT the case then I agree we have a problem.
This seems to be the problem with this outbreak, there is a longer incubation period. Usually people got this and pretty much immediately got very sick and died. Now they are kind of wandering around for a while, not knowing they’ve contracted it.
I also read that you are not contagious until you become symptomatic. But, you know, I’m not sure they are 100% right about that.
And I’ll also say this, after all the lies from this administration (and I think the lefties might just say that Bush was a liar too which I don’t really agree with but that gives you pretty much 100% of the country feeling like they’ve been lied to over the course of the last 12+ years) I’m disinclined to believe a word they say about anything.
So, yeah, we could have a very serious problem on our hands sooner than we would like.
Certainly following the same playbook -
1). offer all kinds of goodies to the poor (goodies he neither owns nor has any right to appropriate).
2. Shortages and deprivations follow
3. In come the troops and the camps.
In times like these we need a Savior.
He is the only One Who will get us through this time of trouble.
We can stand upon His promises, but how many Christians have opened the Bible to know what they are?

All the evidence is that Ebola is NOT TRANSMISSIBLE until you have symptoms of it, and even then it doesn’t transmit very easily if you stay away from the ill person.
It’s a virus, so it could mutate, but that’s the current state of things.

There’s no reason to accuse this DOCTOR of knowing he was infectious when he got on the plane, because if he knows that, he knows something that’s not in the current medical evidence.
According to all the medical evidence, even if he does come down with the virus, he was not infectious when he got on the plane if he wasn’t exhibiting symptoms, which he was not according to all the media.
Could the virus mutate to be more infectious? Yes.
Would I prefer that there’s no ingress or egress from countries in which there are Ebola cases and the doc had to stay there instead of returning to Canada? Absolutely.
But you’re accusing the guy of knowingly risking everyone on the plane (and by extension, everyone outside of the countries where Ebola has a foothold), and I don’t think that’s in any way fair or correct here.
Was he wearing a protective suit when he caught this?
I’m sure he was wearing protective gear of some sort. Just looking at the pictures, they have masks, eye protection, gowns, boots & they get washed off with chemicals to kill the virus. I think the female missionary who was infected was washing off the medical staff.

There are pictures of the protective gear being worn farther down in the article.
Based on what’s being reported, a woman without symptoms boarded a communal taxi, infecting all five of the other passengers, then boarded a motorcycle and infected the driver, and THEN came down with symptoms.
That suggests an aerosol transmission vector, not a blood contact vector.
UNLESS, the infection happened as a result of another blood eating organism jumping from the infected to the uninfected - lice, fleas, mosquitos.
Based on infection rates (showing an exponential growth pattern as of the last 72 hours), I would not assume transmission is blood borne, or there wouldn’t be a concern about showing symptoms as a basis for quarantine.
People NOT showing symptoms, but who are infected, are apparently spreading the virus.
As usual, the press is doing its usually inferior job of providing accurate information at this stage.

That is all very disturbing. I did not think that it could pass via bloodsuckers, lice etc, because if it could be passed THAT way people would really be dropping left and right.
We now that OUR media are a bunch of democratic shills and liars who wouldn’t tell you the sky was blue if they thought it would make Obama, et al. look bad.
As to African media, I’m sure they are pretty unreliable, perhaps I misjudge them, but people are probably already hysterical over there, so that makes it hard to get a straight story no matter who, what or where.
Don’t know if it is on this thread or not but I have said before here, and I mean it most seriously, we should stop entry of anyone who has been to any of those countries.
If it spreads via aerosol, it may already be too late due to the 21 day incubation period.
Don’t you think there would be a lot more than 700 deaths so far if that were so?
Given the reporting situation in Africa and the tendency of the Africans to hide the dead we really have no idea how many dead there are.
