"Both abusive", "can get hurt" - obfuscations for what we're talking about. My wife has said some deeply hurtful things to me over the years, but I've never hit her and never will ... but then, I hold myself to higher standards than a dog.

I doubt your wife made it a point to attack you relentlessly day in and day out like some women. You cannot judge all women by how your wife acts.

I have never hit a woman in my life but I have witnessed many who deserved it...
