Although he's not a hired security officer, George Zimmerman has been "patrolling" outside a Volusia County gun shop after it was recently robbed, according to the store owner.
Pat Johnson told Local 6 that Zimmerman is not an employee of his DeLand store Pompano Pat's, which sells firearms, ammunition and motorcycles.
Johnson said that Zimmerman, on his own accord, has been spotted outside the store since the robbery earlier this month. The thieves stole rifles worth up to $5,000 and two mini-bikes, according to Johnson.
Johnson added that although he knows Zimmerman, he has not hired him as a security officer.
Pompano Pat's made headlines last July when it offered Zimmerman a free gun days after his murder trial ended.

THIS, sounds like an interesting place.
Zimmerman was not guilty of murdering Martin (and the fact that he was even prosecuted was a travesty), but...wow...has he proven himself to be an idiot or what?
The article doesn’t say anything, he was spotted outside of the store is all.
One of three possibilities here:
1. The store owner is mistaken.
2. The store owner is lying.
3. The store owner is telling the truth. In that case, George Zimmerman is a complete and utter fool.
Very,very,*very* foolish move.He should be devoting all his time to suing NBC,and others,for millions.

I drive by my local gun store multiple times every day.

You missed one possibility.
4. The local media is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill to keep their jobs.
The word ‘patrolling’ is a misleading (intentionally).
From what I read, George admitted to a member of the Orlando media that he occasionally hangs out in front of the shop.
If a store offered me a free gun, I might hang out there once in a while too.
I don’t see where the store owner LIED. All he said (in response to being questioned by the media) was that he hadn’t HIRED George to do anything.
NOWHERE in the article does it say ANYONE ever SAW George ‘patrolling’ in front of the store.
This story smells. All it proves is that Zimmerman is still a target.
I think you left out the fourth and most likely possibility; that the media is intentionally misreporting the facts in order to advance their anti-gun agenda.
You assume again that the MSM is telling the truth.
He is a free man.
This is trolling for trouble, he’s likely to get more than a nibble.
